Doom Eternal Trophy and Achievement Guide

Welcome the Doom Eternal Trophy Guide! This is a somewhat short list, and it is a pretty easy Platinum to get. There are no missable Trophies here as you can go back and play any mission over again via Mission Select. It will take at two full playthroughs to get everything. One normal playthrough and then a playthrough on Extra Life Mode. A big chunk of this list is tied to finding the various collectibles. There are multiplayer Trophies, but they are not that difficult. The multiplayer Trophies are not difficult to do legit, but they can also be boosted in private matches with three different people.

*Glitch Warning* It is possible for some collectibles to not show up in game. If this happens, Press Options and then select Reset Mission BEFORE completing the mission. This will reset everything in the mission and then you can go back through and try again.

It is also possible for some of the multiplayer Trophies to glitch. If a Trophy glitches, delete your save game and then try again. Deleting your save will erase your stats, but not your XP.

Treasure Hunter

Beat all encounters and Mission Challenges, and find all Items in Taras Nabad in a single save slot

Taras Nabad is the 9th mission in the campaign. For this Trophy, you’ll have to 100% the mission. These things need to be completed in order for other Trophies anyway, so this isn’t something that’ll have you doing anything you haven’t done already in previous missions.

Mission Challenges:

1. Acquire 6 Codex Entries:

Follow the collectible guide to find all of the Codex entries. There are seven to be found in the whole mission.

2. Freeze 10 Demons With Ice Bombs:

Just be sure to use Ice Bombs from the beginning of the level. Obviously, there will be more than 10 enemies in this mission, so keep using the Ice Bombs until you’ve frozen 10 enemies. This is a cumulative challenge. You do not need to freeze 10 at once.

3. Perform 3 Different Glory Kills on Pain Elementals:

There aren’t that many pain Elementals in the mission, but you can farm them. At one of the Secret Encounters, one will spawn. Kill it to get a Glory Kill and then run around until the timer hits zero. Start the encounter again and do a different Glory Kill. You can repeat that process as many times as you need until you have three different kills. Depending on where you stand, you will do a different Glory Kill. That means standing in front, behind, jumping or to the sides of the Elementals.

Master of Fasting

Complete a Mission with only the Famine Mode cheat on

First, you will need to collect the Famine Mode cheat. That can be found in the mission Nekravol. Once you have that, select any level from the Mission Select screen and then press Square to access the cheat menu. Turn on Famine Mode and complete the mission.

Famine Mode makes it so that defeated enemies will not drop health or armor. You can only get ammo drops by killing enemies with the chainsaw. Health and armor can be found in the environment, just not by killing enemies. The easiest mission to complete for this Trophy is Hell on Earth. It only has the weaker enemy types and you can actually run past most of the fights. If you finish the game and then try this, you’ll have all of your upgraded equipment making this even easier.

Running Up the High Score

Complete Extra Life Mode with 10 Extra Lives in your Inventory

Start a new a game and select Extra Life Mode. You will need to complete the entire game on this mode while finishing with at least 10 extra lives. It’s a permadeath mode, but you can find extra lives in the missions. If you die, an extra life will be used. If you run out of extra lives, that’s it. game over. Being killed by an enemy or by falling will use a life. Having a timer hit 0 won’t use a life though. That’s an instant game over.

There are a couple things you can do to make things easier for this. You can play on the I’m Too Young to Die difficulty. You can also back up your save file to the cloud or an external hard drive. If you get a game over, you can copy your save file back over and try again. Make sure to save after each mission.

Crystal Craving

Upgrade Health, Armor, or Ammo

See the Trophy “King of the Crystals” for more details.

King of the Crystals

Fully upgrade Health, Armor, or Ammo in a single save slot

This Trophy only requires you to fully upgrade one of the three categories. In order to upgrade the categories, you will need to find Sentinel Crystals in the missions. There are 12 Crystals to be found you will only need four to fully upgrade a single category.

There are five categories with four upgrades in each that need to be purchased. They are purchased with Praetor Suit Points which can be found throughout the missions. They can also be earned by completing the challenges for each mission. There are more than enough Suit Points to be found/earned for this Trophy.

See the Trophy “Meet Your Unmaykr” for the collectibles guide to assist you with finding the Points.

Homemaykr

Spend 8 Sentinel Batteries in the Fortress of Doom in a single save slot

Sentinel Batteries are found throughout the missions and can be earned by completing the mission challenges. The Fotress of Doom is the hub area you visit between some missions. You’re going to need more than eight to unlock everything in the Fortress of Doom. Like the Suit Points, there are more than enough to be collected for that.

See the Trophy “Meet Your Unmaykr” for the collectibles guide to assist you with finding the Sentinel Batteries.

Extra Extra Lives

There six Slayer Gates in the game. In order to access them, you will need to first find a Slayer Key. The Keys can be found near the Gates. The Gates will be marked in purple on your map. They are areas focused on combat with a short timer. They can be a little difficult at times. The Gates toward the end of the game can be a pain. The BFG is very helpfull with these. Try to save some BFG ammo for them. After completing them, you’ll be rewarded with an Empyrean Key. The Empyrean Keys are needed to unlock the Unmaykr weapon the Fortress of Doom which will unlock the “Meet Your Unmaykr” Trophy.

See the Trophy “Meet Your Unmaykr” for the collectibles guide to assist you with finding the Slayer Gates and Slayer Keys.

Gunpletionist

Master all Weapon Mods in a single save slot

Before you can master a Mod, you will need to find all of the Modbots in the mission. You can then purchase the Mods for each weapon. Once you have all of the Mods for the weapons, you can then work on the Mastery Challenges. Each challenge will require you to do certain things using the previously unlocked mods. Some of them can be a little grindy, but luckily, you can use Mastery Tokens to just buy the Mastery Challenges. Those will become available as collectibles starting in Taras Nabad. There are seven of these Tokens to be found. Try to save the Tokens for the more grindy Mastery Challenges.

See the Trophy “Meet Your Unmaykr” for the collectibles guide to assist you with finding the Mastery Tokens.

Meet Your Unmaykr

Acquire the Unmaykr

The Unmaykr is a weapon that is found in the Fortress of Doom. In order to get it, you will need to collect all six of the Empyrean Keys which are rewards for completing the Slayer Gates in the missions. Once you have all six, you can unlock the case holding the Unmaykr.

Darn It, They Keep BREAKING

Perform 33 Unique Glory Kills in a single save slot

This Trophy will naturally unlock as you play. After damaging an enemy enough, they will then start flashing blue and orange. When they do, run up to them and press R3 to perform a Glory Kill. Each enemy has multiple Glory Kills depending on how you are facing them. Jumping, facing the front, facing the back, facing the side, looking down or looking up will trigger different Glory Kill scenes.

Mix and Match

Play as 5 different Player Demons in BATTLEMODE

There are only five different demons to be played as in Battlemode. Simply play as each one to earn this Trophy.

  1. Archvile
  2. Mancibus
  3. Marauder
  4. Pain Elemental
  5. Revenant

Fight Like Hell

Do 5000 damage as a Player Demon in BATTLEMODE

This is something that will unlock as you play multiplayer. Whenever you do damage to the opposing player, the damage will be counted toward this. This is tracked in both private and public matches. You can track your progress in the Milestone menu under Fight like Hell. It is a cumulative Trophy.

Blood Bath

Kill 200 opponents in BATTLEMODE

Just play the multiplayer and this will eventually unlock. You have to kill the actual player. The AI controlled enemies do not count toward this. This is tracked in both private and public matches. You can track your progress in the Milestone menu under Blood Bath.

Man vs Monsters

Play 25 BATTLEMODE matches

Another Trophy that will unlock as you play multiplayer. You will need to stay in the match until it ends for it to count. Quitting a match early will not count toward this. This is tracked in both private and public matches. You can track your progress in the Milestone menu under Man vs Monsters.

Weapons Expert

Kill a Player Demon with each of the 8 Slayer weapons in BATTLEMODE

For this Trophy, you will need to be the Slayer. There are only eight weapons available to use. Seven of them you will have and the eighth is the BFG which you can select as the third perk for the fourth round. So, kill a player controlled demon with all of the weapons. This is tracked in both private and public matches. You can track your progress in the Milestone menu under Weapons Expert. If it doesn’t pop, try getting another kill with the BFG. This popped it for me.

Truce Between Demons

Heal yourself or your teammate for 50000 health in BATTLEMODE

For this Trophy, you will have to play as a Demon. You will also need to select the Defensive loadout. That loadout will have the Healing Zone ability. When you use this ability, you’ll create an area that will heal you and your teammate when standing in it.

In the fourth round of a match, the Demons will have an ability to instantly heal you and your teammate. Both of these abilities will count toward the 5,000 total. Just like the damage Trophy, this is cumulative. This is tracked in both private and public matches. You can track your progress in the Milestone menu under Truce Between Demons.

It’s a Magic Number

Kill 666 Demons

This is an unmissable Trophy as well. Just play through the game and you will kill more than enough enemies to earn this Trophy.
