In order to get the DLC, you will need to either own the Deluxe version of Alan Wake 2, or you can upgrade to the Deluxe version if you own the base version. The DLC is not sold on its own.
The DLC consists of three episodes. Each episode has 4 Trophies/Achievements attached for a total of 12 new Trophies/Achievements. The episodes are pretty short coming in at around 30 or so minutes each. So if anything is missed, it will only require a play-through of whatever episode the Trophy/Achievement is in. As previously mentioned, they are short episodes, so cleaning up missed Trophies/Achievements will not take very long.
The episodes are self contained stories and can be played in any order.
Take the “accessories” from the kitchen
The accessories in the kitchen are weapons. You will have to pick these up as part of the story.
Defeat 3 Haters at once with any kind of explosive
This can be earned during the first combat encounter. When the combat starts, you will need to kill the first 3 enemies. Then, another wave will spawn. All you need to do is run around the enemies and kite them to an explosive barrel in the area. If you need to buy some time for them to group up, shoot them in the legs with the shot gun. This will knock them down and slow them. Once you have at least 3 near an canister, shoot it. If you don’t get it, reload your save to start the combat encounter over again.
Listen to all the Writer’s messages
MISSABLE
There are only 3 messages to listen to and 2 of them are unmissable. The second message can be missed, which would result in having to replay episode 1 over again.
- Message #1 – The first message will come as part of the story when you go to the back office to choose a book for the customer in the diner. The mounted fish will speak to you when you select a book.
- Message #2 – Continue through the woods killing enemies until you hear her mention waiting until the third or fourth date with the writer. The path will go down a bit in-between some rocks. Just before the path heads back up, it splits off to the right. Go right and read the note on the tree stump.
- Message #3 – The final message is also part of the story. Continue through the chapter until you come to the cutscene with the deer. This Trophy/Achievement will pop after the cutscene.
Complete Episode 1: Number One Fan
This is unmissable and will be earned by completing the episode.
In two tries or less, enter the warehouse office without being caught by the Coffee Mascots
MISSABLE
If you are spotted a second time, this will be missed. Quitting out and reloading will still count. So, if you want to make sure you don’t miss it, back up your save file and turn automatic updates off before going in to the warehouse. This Trophy/Achievement is not that difficult once you know where to look, but feel free to back up your save if you’d like.
As soon as you enter the warehouse, the mascot will be coming down toward you and you’ll automatically take cover. Stay behind the cover and wait for the mascot to come down to you. When it turns left, go forward and then take your first right and head to the desk. The key is in the red tool box on the desk. Get the key and then head back the way you came. Stay behind cover and make sure the mascot is not looking in your direction. Go right and the door to the office will be on your right. Interact with it and select the office key to open it. The key and door are right near each other, so you don’t have to go sneaking through the whole warehouse. This will pop as soon as you enter the office.
Solve the optimal roasting temperature of Dark Triangle Coffee
This can be earned as soon as the episode begins. After walking through the gate follow the path and you’ll come to a roasting bar. There are clues behind the bar to figure out the correct number for the roasting temperature. Once you have the answer, input it on the keypad behind the bar.
The correct temperature is 487. You’ll need to know this as it is part of the story.
Solve all Stashes
MISSABLE
There are only 6 different stashes to find in episode 2. They will all be available from the start of the episode after entering through the first gate. You’ll need to memorize the pattern that the light flashes on the lock and input it back in the same order.
- Stash #1 – From the Sheriff’s gazebo, look over to the small guard shack. This stash is behind that guard shack.
- Stash #2 – Follow the signs to the Welcome Center. It is near the Sheriff’s gazebo. From the Welcome Center, take that path next to the yellow tents on the left. Follow this path down to the docks. The stash will be next to a blue and red bumper boat on a work table.
- Stash #3 – Return to the Welcome Center. When staring at the Welcome Center sign, go to the right side of the tent to a closed off gate and look left to find this chest behind a big rock.
- Stash #4 – From the Roasting Bar, follow the signs that lead to the Tasting Room. When you get to the actual tasting room, go right and then go straight back behind the room to find this box next to a big coffee cup in a small playground area.
- Stash #5 – From the previous stash, turn around and head up the stairs that lead to the Ferris wheel. Go over to the left toward a big bottle and portable toilets. This stash is behind the big bottle.
- Stash #6 – This is found outside of the warehouse behind a truck on the left as you enter the warehouse area.
Complete Episode 2: North Star
This is unmissable and will be earned by completing the episode.

Reading the script will be an objective.
Survive the arcade game reality
This is an unmissable story related Trophy/Achievement
You’ll be taken to the arcade game reality as part of the story and this will be unlocked upon finishing it.
Travel to a new reality using a Lumivista TV
This is an unmissable story related Trophy/Achievement.
You will need to interact with the TV in the trailer in order to advance the story.
Complete Episode 3: Time Breaker
This is unmissable and will be earned by completing the episode.
