Ghostwire: Tokyo Trophy & Achievement Guide

Ghostwire Tokyo Trophy Guide
Advertisements

Welcome to the Ghostwire: Tokyo Trophy and Achievement guide! This is a relatively stress free Trophy/Achievement list to complete. There are no missable Trophies/Achievements and it will only take one playthrough to get everything. There are a few miscellaneous Trophies/Achievements, but this list is dominated by collectibles. This game is a real collect-a-thon through and through. There are myriad collectibles to be found and none of them are missable, luckily.

You can play through this game and go about completing the Trophy/Achievement list however you want. Being that there are a lot of collectibles, it is recommended to pick up any of them that you come across while traversing the map and playing through the various missions.

Collect-a-thon

As previously mentioned above, there are many collectibles to find in Ghostwire: Tokyo. Most of your time in this game will be spent finding them all.

That may sound like a grind, and it is, but Ghostwire really does make this grind about as easy as it possibly can be. Every collectible except for the spirits can be tracked on your map. All of the collectibles can be easily tracked.

There is a collectible type called “KK’s Investigation Notes”. There is no Trophy/Achievement for collecting these, but they are needed in order to unlock all of the skills which is a Trophy/Achievement.

Hyakki Yoko

While playing through the game, you’re going to come across random events called Hyakki Yoko. These look like a parade of enemy spirits coming out of fog. Whenever you see these, run to them and you’ll be transported to a small wave survival combat section.

It is recommended that you complete these every time you see them. They are needed to collect all of the spirits as you will be rewarded with spirits after completing them. They’re random, so not doing these can make the collectible grind longer than it needs to be. Keep your eyes open for these as you make your way across the map.

Point of No Return

The “point of no return” will be near the end of Chapter 4. You’ll be notified that of this point when you reach it. All this means is that you will be locked into finishing the story after this point. When you beat the game, you’ll still be able to free roam and clean up anything that you may have left. You’ll be brought back to the point of no return after finishing the story.

The Trophy/Achievement “Hero of Shibuya” will require you to beat the game after having transferred all of the spirits. This might sound like a missable at first, but rest assured, it is not. Even if you beat the game without having all spirits transferred, you can still earn this.

As mentioned above, you will be brought back to the point of no return upon completing the story. The final story missions will also be available when you are brought back as well. So that means you can go through and collect all of the remaining spirits and then replay the final story missions.

If you don’t want to replay the final missions twice, you can stop progressing the story at the PoNR, collect all of the spirits and then finish the story. It does not matter which path you choose.

 Helping Hand

 Savior

Transfer 50% of the spirits in the city.

See “Salvation of All” below for more details.

Salvation of All

Transfer 100% of the spirits in the city.

As you make your way through Shibuya, you’ll see floating blue spirits. These are basically a type of collectible.

You’ll be able to hold to absorb them. After absorbing them, you will then need to interact with payphones to release them. They are absorbed by using Katashiro. At first, you will only be able to hold 10 of these spirits, but you can upgrade that capacity to max out at 50.

The total amount is 240,300 spirits. You probably fainted seeing that number, but don’t worry. You won’t be collecting 240,300 individual spirits. The spirits will be worth different amounts upon collecting them.

There are a few abilities and gear that you can take advantage of that will make collecting these a little bit easier.

Beads:

Abilities:

There are a few different ways that are needed to collect the spirits.

Open World

The majority of the spirits will be found in the open world. They are littered across Shibuya. They can be found on the ground level and up on top of buildings.

The map is divided up into sections that can be viewed by hovering over the Torii gate icon. This will tell you how many spirits you have collected for that region. Clearing all of the spirits one section at a time is an effective way at clearing the open world of spirits.

There are 3,700 spirits to be found in Shibuya Underground. There are several access points to enter the underground.

As you travel across the map, you’ll notice black spirit trees that will damage you if you step into their radius. Press near the corruption trees to use Spectral Vision which will highlight a weak point. Shoot the weakpoint to clear the corruption and you’ll be rewarded with spirits.

There are 15,000 spirits to be earned from completing Hyakki Yoko events. These look like a parade of enemy spirits coming out of fog. Whenever you see these, run to them and you’ll be transported to a small wave survival combat section. It is recommended that you complete these every time you see them. They’re random, so not doing these can make the collectible grind longer than it needs to be.

There are 10,000 spirits to be earned from completing Containment Cube events. Containment Cubes are a random event that’ll pop up as you’re traveling across the map. There will be big cubes suspended in the air with a percentage health bar. Enemies will spawn and attempt to drain the health of the cubes. All you have to do is defend the cubes and prevent their health from completely running out.

Hero of Shibuya

Complete the main story after transferring 100% of the spirits in the city.

This might seem like it would be a missable Trophy, but it isn’t.

There are two paths you can take here. You can get to the end of Chapter 4, where you need to use the motorcycle. At the motorcycle objective, you can stop playing the story and focus on collecting all of the spirits and then finish the story after you have them all.

Or you can finish the story without all of the spirits. You will be brought back to the point of no return in Chapter 4 after beating the story. So you can collect the remaining spirits and then you’ll be able to replay Chapters 5 and 6 again.

Completing the game’s story with all of the spirits will also reward you with the Tireless Beads and the Shadow Beads which are needed for “Power Overwhelming.”

 Problem Solver

Complete a side mission.

See “Wishmaker” below for more details.

Wishmaker

Complete all side missions.

There are 42 side missions to complete and none of them are missable. These will become available as you progress through the story and as you cleanse torii gates.

There will be a message when you reach the point of no return at the end of Chapter 4. The game will tell you that the “After the End” questline will be missed if you haven’t played them yet, but this is only during Chapter 5 and 6. You will still be able to play that questline after beating the game and returning to the open word.

Opening a Path

Cleanse a torii gate.

See “Liberator” below for more details.

Liberator

Cleanse all torii gates.

The map is divided up into different sections and each section will have a Torii gate. There are 30 Torri gates to cleanse. Each time you cleanse one you’ll defog parts of the map as well as reveal side quests.

It’s important to note that there is a Torii gate that is not marked on the map. You will have to cleanse this gate as part of the main story mission “Giants.”

 Treasure Hunter

Acquire a relic.

See “Collector” below for more details.

Collector

Acquire all relics.

Relics are a type of collectible to find out in the open world and there are 123 of them to find. That might sound like a lot, but the map isn’t that big and they can all be marked on your map so you know exactly where to find them.

There are shopkeepers spread across the map that want you to find and bring these relics to them. These are cats called Nekomatas. After finding the relics, you can return them to the Nekomatas and they will reward you with outfits, music tracks and prayer beads. All of which are needed for other Trophies/Achievements.

You can track the relics you don’t have from the Nekomatas menus as well.

It’s important to note that the Tsuchinoko relic can appear in different locations.

 Mind and Body

Unlock all Spirit Skills.

There are three different skill trees and you will need to unlock each skill on each one. The trees are Abilities, Ethereal Weaving and Abilities.

Skills are unlocked by using Skill Points which are earned by leveling up. You can level by completing main missions, side missions, killing enemies, collecting relics and collecting spirits.

Some of the skills will be locked behind a yin-yang symbol. You will need to collect all of the Magatama and use them to unlock those. All of the Magatama are needed for the “With Their Powers Combined” Trophy/Achievement.

You will also need to find all 20 of KK’s Investigation Notes in order to have enough Skill Points to unlock all Skills. One of the notes is found in the Shibuya Underground and another* is found in Chapter 5. If you miss it, Chapter 5 can be replayed.

 On the Same Wavelength

Raise your synergy level to max.

Your synergy level is just your overall character level. The max level is 50. This is something that you’ll earn as you complete all of the other tasks and Trophies/Achievements in the game.

 Shibuya is My Back Yard

Find all landmarks.

There are 31 landmarks and these are just specific places in Shibuya. To “find” a landmark, all you have to do is enter the area. This something that you will likely earn as you make your all across the city completing missions and finding collectibles.

 Echoes of the Past

Acquire a voice log.

See “The Whole Truth” below for more details.

The Whole Truth

Acquire all voice logs.

Voice logs are a type of collectible to find and there are 17 of them to find. These appear in the form of voice recorders and laptops. They are mostly found at torii gates and the payphones you use to transfer spirits.

There are two recorders that are not found in the main open world. One of the recorders is found in the Shibuya Underground. The other recorder* is found during Chapter 5. If you miss it, Chapter 5 can be replayed.

 It’s All Thanks to Yokai

Acquire a magatama.

See “With Their Powers Combined” below for more details.

With Their Powers Combined

Acquire all magatama.

There 40 magatama to acquire and these are another type of collectible. Not only will you need to find these for this Trophy/Achievement, but these are needed to fully unlock every spirit skill.

The majority of these are collected by completed Yokai Hunts in the open world. Some of these will also be tied to side missions as well. You’ll need to complete the side missions for each magatama type before they become available in the open world. There are three Nekomata magatama that are purchased from different Nekomata as well. In addition to that, the four Nurikabe magatama will be acquired by completing both side and main missions.

 Roadside Spirituality

Pray to a Jizo statue.

See “Pilgrim” below for more details.

Pilgrim

Pray to all Jizo statues.

There are 52 Jizo statues to find. Interacting with a Jizo statue will increase your main ability’s “ammo” capacity. The Jizo statues will be colored green, blue and red. These will correspond to the different elemental abilities that you can wield.

 Your Tail’s Showing

Find all of the missing tanuki.

You’ll be introduced to finding the tanuki in the side mission “Tanuki Hunt.” None of these are missable.

There will be 25 different tanuki disguised as objects found throughout the map. You’ll be able to tell it is a tanuki because their tail will be sticking out. Interact with the disguised tanuki to “find” them. They will then return to their boss.

You will need to find all 25 of these in order to complete all side quests and to unlock all clothing.

 Gourmand

Acquire all types of food and drink.

There are 50 different types of food and drink found throughout the game and none of them are missable.

Most of their locations are completely random, but most of the food can be found literally everywhere. There will be bags and single items of food and drinks littered across the map. Pick up each one that you find. Your health is replenished with food as well, so you’ll need to collect it for that reason also. Pick up food whenever you see it as you make you’re way through the game.

As previously mentioned above, not all of the food will be found in the open the world. The rest of it needs to be purchased from shops.

You don’t need to consume the items, you just need to have them.

Spectral Food & Drink

 DJ Akito

Acquire all music tracks.

There are 31 music tracks to collect.

These are collected by completing main story missions, returning relics to Nekomatas and buying them from Nekomatas. None of these are missable.

These tracks will be collected automatically at different parts of the story as you play through it. Upon completing the story, you will have the following tracks unlocked.

The rest of the music tracks are acquired by completing relic requests and by purchasing them from Nekomatas.

 Trendsetter

Acquire all items for the Outfit menu (excluding bonus content).

There are 50 different outfit items to collect. They are collected by completing main missions, side missions, completing relic requests, and by buying them from Nekomatas.

You can track what outfit items you’ve acquired in the outfit tab of the inventory menu.

Acquire all talismans.

Talismans can be used to help you defeat enemies in a variety of different ways. There are only four different talismans to acquire. They can be rewards for completing missions, found as loot in the open world or purchased from convenience stores.

If you don’t have them all by the end of Chapter 3, they will all be available for purchase from convenience stores.

Power Overwhelming

Acquire all sets of prayer beads.

There are 33 different sets of prayer beads to collect. These are items that you can equip that will give you stat buffs.

You’ll be given some of these for completing the story, completing relic requests for Nekomatas and the rest will need to be found, but they are fairly easy and quick to find. Most them will be found at the torii gates after you cleanse them.

The beads that are in sets of three can appear at multiple locations depending on the order that you collect them in. It just depends on the order that you cleanse the torii gates in.

The beads acquired by completing the story will automatically be in your inventory when you respawn at the point of no return after the credits.

 Boundless Spirit

Acquire the maximum number of katashiro.

Katashiro are used for collecting the trapped spirits found across the map. When you begin the game, you will only be able to store 10 spirits. In order to earn this, you’re going to need to upgrade your katashiro to store the maximum amount of spirits which is 50.

You can upgrade your katashiro at convenience stores by purchasing more of them for 3,000 meika.

 Animal Lover

Pet an animal.

There are many cats and dogs found throughout the map. They are very common. Walk up to one and press to pet it.

 Amatuer Photographer

Use Photo Mode for the first time.

Pause the game and select the Photo Mode. This will pop immediately upon entering the mode. You don’t have to actually take pictures.

 You Wouldn’t Steal a Spirit

Successfully protect at least 3 Containment Cubes in a single battle.

Containment Cubes are a random event that’ll pop up as you’re traveling across the map. There will be big cubes suspended in the air with a percentage health bar. Enemies will spawn and attempt to drain the health of the cubes. All you have to do is defend the cubes and prevent their health from completely running out.

In order to earn this, you’re going to have to complete one of these random events with three cubes to defend.

You should complete these as they appear because they are needed in order to collect all of the spirits.

 Don’t Worry About It

Pull a “Daikyo” omikuji.

There are omikuji boxes at several of the torii gates. You can pay 200 meika to these boxes to receive a random timed stat buff for your character.

In order to get this, you’re going to need to get the Daikyo de-buff. This is the rarest one to pull and it actually increases the damage you receive.

As previously mentioned, this is the rarest one to pull. So this can waste some of your money. Fortunately, there is a method to save your money.

  1. Save your game while standing in front of a omikuji box.
  2. Pull an omikuji out of the box.
  3. If it’s not a Daikyo, reload your save and try again. You can repeat this until the Trophy/Achievement pops.

 Better Together

Fuse back with KK after being hit by a severance attack.

The Kuchisake and Crimson Kuchisake enemy types have the ability to separate you from KK. These are the female enemy types with the big pairs of schissors. When this happens, you’ll lose your spectral abilities and only have access to your bow for combat.

When separated from KK, get closer to him and hold to fuse back together.

 Visiting Hours Are Over

Defeat every type of Visitor.

A “visitor” is what the enemies are called in Ghostwire: Tokyo and there are 23 different types.

You’ll come across most of the enemy types by just playing through the story. Some of them are only available during the story. You’ll come across the rest as you scour the the city collecting relics and spirits.

You can track what visitors you’ve killed because they will be added to your Characters tab of the Database. If a visitor type is missing, that means you haven’t killed them yet.

The Forlorn and Forsaken visitors will flee if they see you. These are the small child like visitors that are dressed in all yellow (Forlorn) and all red (Forsaken). You’ll need to sneak up and kill them via the Quick Purge stealth attack. You can save your game when attempting to sneak up on these visitors. Simply reload your save if you’re spotted and try again.

 Heartbreaker

Defeat a Visitor by pulling out its core.

See “Soul Breaker” below for more details.

Soul Breaker

Defeat 50 Visitors by pulling out their cores.

As you damage enemies while in combat, their cores will become visible. Once they are fully visible, you’ll be given a prompt to pull out their core.

Hold to pull out the core and kill them.

This is something that you’ll get by just playing through the game as this is the quickest way to dispose of enemies during combat.

 One Fell Swoop

Defeat at least 5 Visitors simultaneously by pulling out their cores.

For this, you’re going to need to have five enemies with exposed cores at the same time and then pull them out in one attack. If the core is exposed, you’re attack will automatically grab it and include it if there are multiple cores exposed. The tricky part is getting five of them exposed at the same time.

Luckily, this can be made easier by using your wire in ability on group of at least five enemies. When it is fully charged, press in + to activate it. This will expose most if not all of the cores. Once at least five are exposed use to pull them all out simultaneously.

It is also possible to use Exposure talismans to quickly reveal the cores of enemies.

This can be made a little easier by having two abilities unlocked as well.

 Couldn’t Take the Heat

Defeat at least 3 Visitors simultaneously by detonating a red ether crystal.

While in combat, there will be floating spectral items that can replenish your abilities. You’ll also notice that there will be floating red canisters. These will explode when you shoot them.

All you have to do is shoot one of these and the explosion will have to kill at least three enemies at the same time. You’ll often be engaged in combat with groups of more than three, so just be sure to keep an eye out for the explosive floating red objects and lure the enemies near them.

 Silent Kill

Defeat a total of 200 Visitors using Quick Purge.

Quick Purge is an attack that is used to instantly kill an enemy from behind. If you’re playing stealthy and sneaking up on enemies, all you have to do is press to perform a Quick Purge.

You can also use Stun talismans on enemies. Get behind them when they are stunned and use Quick Purge.

 Take a Bow

Defeat a total of 50 Visitors using the bow.

You’ll receive the bow in Chapter 2. Press to equip it. All you need to do is kill 50 enemies with it. Be sure to aim for the head to make these kills quick and because that will chip away at the headshots needed for “Go For the Eyes” below.

If you need arrows, they can be found in the open world or purchased from convenience stores.

Go For the Eyes

Defeat a total of 20 Visitors with headshots.

Headshots with the bow or with your elemental abilities will both count for this. Focus your shots on the head and this will eventually come.

 Sniper

Defeat a Visitor with a headshot from a distance of at least 40m.

This is best done with the bow. When you find an enemy without an umbrella, put down a custom waypoint on your map. After that, either back up away from them or get to the top of a building. Whichever way you choose, just make sure you’re at least 40 meters away from them. You’ll be able to judge your distance with the custom waypoint that you put down earlier. With the bow, you’re going to need to aim a little bit over the head as the arrow will drop as it flies toward the enemy.

Make a save before firing your shot just in case it doesn’t hit the head. If you miss, you can re-load your save and immediately try again.

 Freeze, Scumbag

Defeat a total of 10 Visitors with Quick Purge while they are held by a Stun Talisman.

Stun Talismans will be available for purchase after completing Chapter 2. You can buy them from convenience stores for 4,000 meika.

When you use a Stun Talisman, the enemies in the radius will be temporarily stunned. Quickly get behind the stunned enemy and use the Quick Purge attack to finish them off. Repeat this on 10 enemies.

 A Shubbery!

Defeat a total of 3 Visitors with Quick Purge while hiding in bushes created by a Thicket Talisman.

Thicket Talismans will be available for purchase after completing Chapter 2. You can buy them from convenience stores for 1,000 meika.

Thicket Talismans will spawn bushes where thrown that you can hide in. You’ll need to get three kills from inside these bushes. It does not need to be three kills in one bush. It can be three different uses of the talisman.

This can easily be earned by sneaking up behind an enemy stealthily. While behind an enemy, throw down a Thicket Talisman where the enemy is standing and then use the Quick Purge attack on them while they are standing in the bush. Repeat this on three enemies.

 Left Yourself Open

Defeat a total of 10 Visitors by ripping out their cores after exposing them with an Exposure Talisman.

Exposure Talismans will be available for purchase during Chapter 3. You can buy them from convenience stores for 7,000 meika.

You can throw an Exposure Talisman and any enemy within its radius will have they cores exposed. While the core is exposed as a result of the talisman, use to rip out their core. Repeat this on 10 enemies.

 Master of Blocking

Perform a total of 30 Perfect Blocks.

In order to perform a “Perfect Block”, you will need to press right before an enemy is about to hit you. It’ll take a few tries to get the timing down. You’ll know when you did this correctly as the attacking enemy will be briefly stunned.

 In Sync

Wire In a total of 10 times.

You’ll receive the Wire In ability by completing Chapter 2. This is an ability that you’ll charge up before you can use it. There will be an orange meter next to your health that will need to be fully charged by pulling out enemy cores.

Once the meter is fully charged, press in + to activate it. This is something you’ll likely earn while just playing through the game normally.

 Walking on Air

Grapple and glide to remain in the air for at least 10 seconds.

As you play through the game, you’ll noticed winged NPCs up in the air that are not enemies. These are called Tengu and you can use them as grapple points to pull yourself up and on to rooftops.

You can hold to target a Tengu and press to grapple up to it.

You’re going to need to also have unlocked the Amenokagami ability which will give you the ability to glide through the air for a few seconds by holding down . Upgrade the glide ability to Amenokagami III – Glide Duration Boost. This will allow you to glide through the air for five seconds.

You can also unlock the Amenotori X ability. This will allow you to spawn your own Tengu.

Find an area with a Tengu and then spawn your own by looking at rooftop ledge with   nearby. The marker will appear on screen and you can press to spawn and grapple to the Tengu. Hold to glide for 5 seconds and aim for the other Tengu and grapple to it. Hold again after grappling to the second Tengu to glide for another 5 seconds to reach 10 total.

You can’t touch the ground in between glides. It’s a little tricky, so it’ll likely take a few tries to pull off.

 Big Spender

Spend a total of 1,000,000 meika.

Meika is the currency in Ghostwire: Tokyo. You’ll receive meika by completing missions, completing the relic requests for Nekomatas, defeating enemies, collecting it in the open world, and by transferring spirits. You can wear the Prosperity Beads to increase how much money you receive as well.

This is something that you will likely get as you work your way toward completing the Platinum/100%. You will need to spend money on collecting some of the collectibles in the game as well as upgrading your katashiro. You will likely spend money on talismans, food and ammo as well.

 Pious

Put a total of 10,000 meika into offering boxes.

There will be offering boxes near most of the torii gates. You can interact with these and choose how much money you want to deposit with a maximum amount of 500 meika per deposit.

Deposit the maximum amount whenever you come across these boxes to reach the 10,000 meika Trophy/Achievement goal quicker.

 Lonely Tsukimi

Spend at least 30 seconds looking at the moon.

This can be earned immediately after starting a new game. Look up at the moon and set the controller down. Simply wait for this to pop.
