Welcome to the Dragon Quest III HD-2D All Mini Medals Guide!
Morgan Minimann is found down at the bottom of the well in Aliahan in a house. He will give you rewards for bringing him mini medals. Mini medals are small medals that you can collect and there are 110 of them to find. These can be found buried in the ground, inside of chests as well as inside of barrels and pots.
Once you have found all 110, return to Morgan Minimann and speak with him again to get the final reward. Doing so will pop the Trophy.

- Interact with the barrels to the right of the door in the room that is in the bottom right corner of Aliahan Castle – 1F
2. Go to the building in the bottom right corner of Aliahan. You can only enter it at night. There is an Inn nearby you can sleep at until night if needed. Once inside, interact with the nightstand to the right of the bed on the second floor.
3. This is found inside of a barrel on the left side of the Shrine of Plains.
4. This is found inside of a chest in the middle bottom room of Dreamer’s Tower 2F.
5. This is found inside of a chest on the bottom right side of the middle area in Dreamer’s Tower 3F.
6. Enter the shrine that is found just before reaching the Path of Promise. Once inside of the Little Shrine, go to the back and interact with the pot on the right against the back wall to find this mini medal.
7. This is found in the building on the upper left side of Romaria. Interact with the pots on the right side of the room to find this mini medal.
8. This is found by interacting with the ground on the bottom side of the bottom right fountain inside of Romaria Castle 1F.
9. This mini medal is found inside of the pot that is outside of the Romarian Outpost building.
10. This is found by interacting with the grave at the bottom right corner of the graveyard in Khoryv.
11. This is found on the second floor of the bar in the top right corner of Khoryv. Go through the back door of the bar to reach the second floor. Once there, interact with the barrel on the left side of the room.
12. This is found on the fourth floor of Skyfell Tower. It is in a chest on the left side of the room.
13. This is found on the second floor of the Inn in Norvik (north of Khoryv). It is in a bag that is hanging from the stone section of the wall in the top right room.
14. This is found in the ground behind the big rock slightly southwest of the pond small pond in Faerie Village (west of Norvik).
15. This is found on the eastern edge of the small pond in Faerie Village.
16. This is found on the eastern path of Underground Lake – B1 in a chest.
17. This mini medal is found in a secret area southeast of Khoryv on the backside of the mountain range near the water’s edge. It is inside of a pot in the secret area.
18. This is found in a secret area in the small desert just after crossing the small bridge east of Romaria. It is near the the swirl icon in the desert on the map. It is inside of a barrel next to a boulder.
19. This mini medal is found in a barrel next to an NPC inside of Nordy’s Grotto at the end of the path. The cave entrance to Nordy’s Grotto is found to the east of Asham.
20. This mini medal is found in the Desert Shrine which is found to the south area of the big desert. The shrine is surrounded by purple poison. It is found inside of a pot in the top left corner of the shrine.
21. This mini medal is found in a pot inside of the item shop in the southeast corner of Ibis.
22. This mini medal is found in the small graveyard in the southwest corner of Ibis. Interact with the middle grave.
23. This mini medal is found in the northwest corner of Pyramid 1F. In order to reach it, you will need to take the exit on the top right of 1F. Then, head over to the top left exit of 2F. From there, you’ll be brought back into 1F. Go over to the far left to find this medal in a chest.
24. After defeating the boss and collecting the Magic Key inside of the pyramid, go up either the upper left or right side stairs on the same floor where you fought the boss. Go through the next room with all of the chests and up the stairs in the bottom right. From there, go up the stairs in the top right corner of 5F. After that, you’ll be outside near the top of the pyramid. Go to the left and interact with the wall to dig this medal up.
25. Go into the palace in Ibis at night and enter through the main entrance. In the area with all the locked doors, go into the room in the top right corner. The bottom left chest has the mini medal.
26. Go into the throne room of the Ibis palace at night. Interact with the front of the throne to find this mini medal on the ground.
27. Enter the building in the bottom left corner of Asham at night. Go to the right side of the building behind the stage. The ultimate key will open the blue door. Interact with the open stool where the 2 NPCs are sitting to find this medal.
28. Enter the building in the top left corner of Asham and go up stairs. There are 4 square tiles on the ground on the left side of the room. Stand on the top right tile and interact with the prompt to find this medal.
29. Once you reach Portoga, make your way over to the southwest corner of town and go down the stairs. At the bottom, there will be a pot in the middle of the room in front of an NPC. Interact with the pot to find this medal.
30. Go into the building that has the Inn, item shop and weapon shop all in one in the bottom right corner of Portoga. Go through the red door on the north and head outside behind the building. Interact with the hay pile in top left corner of the fenced in area to find this medal.
31. From where you exit the other side of Nordy’s Grotto (story related), head south to the desert area. Go near the desert peninsula to find a secret area. Enter it and interact with the middle pot to find the medal.
32. This medal is found inside of the nightstand in the second room inside of the Inn in Baharata.
33. Go to the southern most platform in Baharata. Interact with the left wall on the platform to dig this medal up.
34. This medal is found in Alltrades Abbey – B1 behind the save point priest on the red rug.
35. This is found inside of Alltrades Abbey – 1F. It is on the right corner of the big statue on the top right of the room.
36. This is found in the northern most middle room of Kidnapper’s Cave – B1.
37. This is found on the 3rd floor of the Tower of Transcendence. In order to reach it, you’re going to need to take the northwestern stair case on the first floor. From there, go across the rope (use the D-Pad to cross) to the other side. Go down the stairs on the other side of the rope and use the teleporter. Then, you’ll be in the center of the first floor with three staircases. Take the bottom staircase. Follow the stairs up to the third floor and the chest will be in the middle of the floor.
38. This mini medal is found inside of the item/weapon shop in Mur. Enter the shop around the back right side and go up the stairs. This medal is in the pot on the left side of the second floor.
39. This mini medal is found inside of the Wayfarer’s Inn which is on a round peninsula southeast from Alltrades Abbey. It is a lone building on the peninsula. It is found inside of the nightstand in the room on the right.
40. This mini medal is found in Lanson. It is in-between the middle and right locked doors of the building on the north side of town. Go to the wall at the end of the narrow path to find this medal.
41. This mini medal is found in the eastern garden of the Edina Castle. To reach it, enter the castle and go up the stairs on the western side of the first floor. On the second floor, exit via the south door and you’ll be outside. Once outside, go over to the right side of the castle to find a staircase that goes down. Take it down and then exit via the southern door. In the garden, go to the southwest corner and interact with a small dirt pile next to a blue bench to dig up this medal.
42. This mini medal is found on the ground behind the chest where you get the Ultimate Key at Shallows Shrine. You will need to get the Bottomless Pot from Edina before you can enter this shrine.
43. This mini medal is found in the Romaria Castle after getting the Ultimate Key. Enter the castle and go up the stairs in the northwest corner and enter the cell. This mini medal is found to the left of the sink in the cell.
44. In order to reach this mini medal, you’re going to need to go to the Romarian Outpost and then go down into the bottom floor. Once there, unlock the southern door with the Ultimate Key. Stand on the portal in the following room and you’ll be teleported to the Teleportal Shrine. This medal is found above the squared pond of water in the center of the temple. Stand right on the edge of the water to get the interact prompt.
45. From the previous mini medal, step on the northern teleporter. In the following area, go in-between the two teleporters to find this medal on the ground in Olivia’s Promontory.
46. This mini medal is found behind the locked door in the item/weapons shop in Mur. Enter the shop and unlock the door to find this medal in the top right corner of the small room.
47. This mini medal is found in a secret area just north of Mur. The friendly monster, King Strong, is in here as well. The medal is found on the ground above a rock next to the big tree in the center of the area.
48. This mini medal is found in a secret area just to the northwest of Pirate’s Den. This is found on the ground just a step away from the western exit inside of the secret area.
49. Enter the big Building at the Pirate’s Den and go down stairs. This medal can be found in the first cell in the back right corner.
50. This mini medal is on the first floor of the Pirate’s Den in the northern most room in the middle. It is in the middle barrel.
51. This mini medal is found on the northern most island of Lozamii. It is in the center of the garden in the top right corner of the island. Lozamii is an island in the southeast corner of the world map.
52. This mini medal is found inside of a secret area southeast of Theddon where the land meets the water in the desert. The mini medal is found on the ground in the upper left. Walk over the area until you see the “Interact” prompt.
53. This mini medal is found in the pool of purple poison on the east side of Theddon that is in front of the building.
54. This mini medal is found in a pot downstairs near the story objective in Jipang. The pot is behind the staircase. The staircase to go down is in the top left corner of Jipang.
55. This mini medal is found inside of a pot in Pimiko’s Palace in Jipang. The pot is in the middle room on the east side of the building. It is the middle pot on the right.
56. This mini medal is found in the western most corner of Orochi’s Lair – B2. Orochi’s Lair is found just east of Jinpang.
57. This mini medal is found inside of the northern most house in a pot in the town, Persistence. Persistence is found on opposite side of the mountain range west of your merchant’s town. It is opposite of the pool of purple poison.
58. This medal is found inside of Fifer’s Spire. Fifer’s Spire is found directly east of Mur across the water. The monster is found on the center platform on the third floor. In order to reach it, you’re going to need to climb up to the fifth floor and walk across the ropes to get to the square in the center of the area. Walk off the rope into that center square and you’ll fall onto the platform down on the third floor where this medal can be found in the bottom left chest.
59. This is found in the left chest after beating the Chiromancer boss in Gaia’s Navel.
60. This is found in a secret area northwest of Wayfarer’s Chapel. Its at the end of the river between the two mountains. The medal is found at the base of a tree that is in-between two big rocks.
61. This is found in the graveyard in Manoza. Interact with the second grave from the right in the top row to find this medal.
62. This is found inside of the barrel in the kitchen of the Manoza Castle in Manoza. You can enter the kitchen by going through the door on the right side of the castle.
63. This is found in a pot in the jail cell above the one you are locked in as part of the story in Manoza.
64. This is found in a chest on the northern path of Manoza Cave – B2. Manoza Cave is southeast of Manoza.
65. This is found in a chest in the southwest corner of Grimland. You will have to come here as part of the story. It is on the snowy island in the northeast corner of the world map.
66. This is found in a nightstand in the house in Grimland.
67. This is found in a barrel in a locked room on the Ghost Ship after going downstairs. You will need to come to the Ghost Ship as part of the story.
68. This is found in a pot in the jail cell on the left as soon as you enter the Shrine of Shackles.
69. This mini medal is found in Maw of the Necrogond – L2. While on L3, drop down the gap in the path in the middle on the east side of the room. You’ll then drop down to a different section of L2. From where you land, go south east to find this hidden on the ground next to a boulder in the southeast side of the room.
70. This mini medal is found behind the NPC inside of Necrogond Shrine that gives you the Silver Orb. Interact with the wall behind him.
71. This is found up against the back right wall next to the ladder that takes you into the Shrine of Everbird.
72. This is found inside of a secret area west of Aliahan. The secret area is on a mountain that will require you to use Ramia to fly up to. Interact with the big boulder on the right near where Beaker was.
73. This is found in a secret area in the big forested area in the center of the world map to the north a bit. The secret area is found in the southwest side of that big forest. This is found on the ground to the right of the chests at the bottom of the screen near a boulder and bush.
74. This is found inside of a secret area west of Persistence. The area is a small grouping of trees with a pond right next to a bigger lake. The medal is found by interacting with a boulder to the left of two bushes in top left area. You will need a monster wrangler in your party.
75. This is found in a secret area north of Persistence. You will need to use Ramia to reach it. Enter it and interact with the ground near the tree just below the tree with a bag hanging from it to find this medal.
76. This is found in a secret area west of Persistence. It is a small desert area that touches a river just before the mountains. The medal is inside of a barrel.
77. This is found inside of a secret area to the west of Manoza. It is along the beach to the west. You will need to use Ramia to reach it. Check the southern wall on the right side to find this medal.
78. Enter Baramos’ Lair and take the path on the right. There will be a small staircase that heads down on the right side of the path. Go down there and you’ll enter Baramos’ Lair – B1 – Passageway. Go to the locked door in the northwest corner and interact with the ground on the left side of the bed that the skeleton is laying on to dig this medal up.
79. This is found on the ground in front of the throne with the skeleton sitting on it in the throne room of Baramos’ Lair.
80. This is found in the northern most room inside of Castle of the Dragon Queen. It is on the ground just before the back wall in the center.
81. This is found in the the northwest corner of West Tantegel Harbour in the Underworld. It is at the very end of the northern path.
82. This mini medal is found to the left of the bridge that takes you north in Tantegel. Check the left side just before crossing the bridge.
83. This is found in a barrel in the top left corner of the kitchen area of Tantegel Castle – 1F.
84. This is found inside of a small drawer inside of Galen’s House on the first floor.
85. This is found inside of a secret area that is southeast from Galen’s House. It is in the forested area near the mountains. It is on the ground in front of the big tree in the middle of the area.
86. This is found inside of a secret area on an island in the north center of the underworld map. There is a cluster of six small islands. The secret area is found on the one that is second from the left. The medal is on the ground in front of a boulder near the rock wall northwest from where the two chests are in the center of the area.
87. This medal is found on B2 of Craggy Cave. From B1, take the exit in the center of the map. Then, follow the path east and then south to the very end to find the chest that has this medal.
88. This medal is found inside of Damdara in the far right horse stable in the bottom right corner of town. It is against the back wall of the stable.
89. This is found in a knocked over pot in the very top left corner of Cantlin.
90. This is found on the ground in the middle of the Shrine of the Spirit – 2F.
91. This is found inside of a secret area north of Cantlin. It is right where the desert meets the forest on the other side of the mountain range above Cantlin. The medal is on the ground in between the big boulder in the center and the smaller boulder on the upper right.
92. This is found inside of a secret area northwest of Rimuldar just before reaching the lake that splits the path. The medal is found on the left path in the secret area in between two smaller trees on the left side of the path.
93. This medal is found inside of the church building in Rimuldar. You will need to enter the building via the door on the west side. Go upstairs and enter the cell. The medal is on the stool in the top left corner of the cell.
94. This medal is found on the steps into the hot spring west of the inn in Kol.
95. This medal is found at the end of the southern most path inside of Quagmire Cave.
96. This is found on the ground inside of the Tower of Rubiss on the third floor in the center of the room just behind the pile of rubble in the middle.
97. This is found in a secret area in the water southeast of the Shrine of Spirit. The medal itself is on the ground up against the big rock in the center of the area. Its on the bottom left side of that big rock.
98. This is found up against the the fountain on the left side of the NPC inside of Sanctum.
99. This medal is found inside of a chest inside of Talontear Tunnel on the third floor. It is in the top right chest. Talontear Tunnel is north of Tantegel.
100. This medal is found inside of a secret area that is found in the water southwest of Rimuldar. Get to the river west of Rimuldar and sail south until you reach the spot near the end of the river. It is in a pot on the right side of the area.
101. This medal is found in the northern most room at the base of the giant throne in the electricity inside of Zoma’s Citadel – 1F.
102. This medal is found inside of the left chest in the middle room to the north of Zoma’s Citadel – B4.
103. This medal is found in the bottom left corner of the fourth floor of the post game “???” dungeon.
104. This medal is found in a chest in the top right corner of the fifth floor of the post game “???” dungeon.
105. This medal is found inside of the top left jail cell on the floor with jail cells in the post game “???” dungeon. It is in the pot on the left of the cell.
106. This medal is found inside of a pot in the top right corner of the room down the southern staircase in Cloudsgate Citadel.
107. This medal is found on the second floor of Citadel Tower in the center of the floor. It is in the chest on the left.
108. This medal is found on the fourth floor of Citadel Tower. When you enter the floor from the ladder, follow the path north and take the first left. Follow that southwest to the chest. The medal is in the chest.
In order to collect the following mini medals, you’re going to need to beat Xenlon and choose the wish that is blank. There will be a space on the wish list that is blank, but it can be selected. Once you’ve made the wish, return to Aliahan. Exit town to go to the world map and then fly north until you see a glowing ball in the skyu. Fly toward that and enter it.
109. This medal is found in a chest in the top right of the floor that requires the use of staves and axes in the Temple of Trials. From the main floor of the temple, take the top right warp pad to enter this area.
110. This medal is found in a chest in the middle left room of the floor that you can only use claws and boomerangs in the Temple of Trials. From the main floor of the temple, take the top left warp pad to enter this area.
