Starfield: Shattered Space Trophy Guide & Roadmap

Welcome to the Shattered Space Trophy Guide & Roadmap!

  • 3/10 Estimated Difficulty
  • 8 – 10 – Estimated Hours to Completion
  • 1 – Minimum Story Play-Throughs
  • 0 – Missable Achievements
  • 0 – Difficulty Related Achievements
  • 0 – Online Achievements

Starting Shattered Space

Once Shattered Space has been installed, load up your game and travel to any system that does not have a mission tied to it. As you load into the system, you will receive a distress call and the “What Remains” mission will be added to your quest log. It does not matter if you are playing on NG+ or not.

There is nothing stressful or missable about this Trophy list. The majority of every thing here can be completed by completing main and side missions. There may be some exploration that is required after the story, but all you will need to do is discover locations. You will need 50 of them. There are a few combat Trophies to work on here, but you will make progress toward these by completing main and side missions, as well as exploration. You’ll likely have to find 50 locations even after the main story. If you have combat related Trophies by that point still, you’ll be able to clean them up while registering the 50 locations.

The Great Unknown

Discover 50 Locations on Va’ruun’kai

This is something that you will gain progress toward as you complete main and side missions. All you have to do is find 50 named locations on the planet Va’ruun’kai. If you’ve completed everything and still don’t have this, explore the planet to find more named locations. You can find enough of these in and around Dazra.

Facing Your Fears

Defeat 25 Vortex Horrors

Vortex Horrors are the glowing bug like enemies. You will encounter these as you progress through the main and side stories. You can kill a lot of these during “The Other Side” main mission while in the Anomalous Cave. Keep an eye out for more of these as you make your way across the map discovering locations for, “The Great Unknown.”

Redemption Arc

Defeat 10 Redeemed

Redeemed are another new enemy type. They appear in the main campaign, side quests, and the various locations of Va’ruun’kai. This is something that should come naturally over time as you complete quests and explore Va’ruun’kai. At the very least, you will have killed some during quests. If you still need some after completing the quest related Trophies, you can find them at some of the locations you need to discover for, “The Great Unknown.” Below is a list of where they can spawn. They don’t always spawn, and can sometimes spawn in different numbers than other players. So, there is an element of RNG here to this Trophy.
  • Quests
  • Hoodoo Rock Camp
  • Wayshrine of Redemption
  • Wayshrine of Perseverance
  • Wayshrine of Devotion
  • Crossed Shard Camp
  • Tul’ Shahk Monastery
  • Crashed Ship Locations
  • Random Open World Spawns. They can spawn randomly between locations as you explore.

Five of a Kind

Craft one of each type of Vortex Grenade

During “The Promised, Broken,” you’ll have to speak with Ekris Kaiser. This is part of the mission. He will explain how to create Vortex Grenades. He will also give you some materials to get going. You won’t be able to make all 5 grenades just yet, however.

Progress through the story until you come to the mission “The Other Side.” During this mission, you will need to enter the Anomalous Cave. Before entering the cave, make a separate manual save just in case you need to return here. While in this cave, kill as many enemies as you can and loot every one of them. You’re going to need to farm supplies from the enemies in order to craft all 5 of the Vortex Grenades. Do not exit the cave until you have collected enough materials. You need the following amounts in order to craft each grenade:

  • Dark Vortex Cyst – 2
  • Glowing Vortex Cyst – 2
  • Vortex Cysts – 3
  • Vortex Shards – 5

Once you have the required materials, head to an industrial workbench and craft the grenades. There is an industrial workbench near the entrance to Dazra. Enter Dazra from the Spaceport and then head up the stairs on either the left or right straight ahead of you. From the top of the stairs, head straight and the workbench can be found in an open room on the left, right in front of a sign that says, “Jinan Plaza.”

  • Vortex Grenade – Binding

Vortex Shard – 1

Savior of the Promised

Aid the People of Va’ruun’kai

This is earned by completing side missions on Dazra. The missions listed below count toward the Trophy, but this can seemingly pop at any time upon completing side missions from the list below. It has been reported to pop inconsistently. Just keep working through the listed side quests below until this Trophy pops. Most of these quests become available while exploring the city. Speak to NPCs with quest markers. They can also become available during main story quests.

  • The Duel
  • Scientific Method
  • A House Divided
  • Fallen Footsteps
  • Legacy of the Fang
  • Lost and Found
  • Path of Redemption
  • Sympathy for the Living
  • The Courier
  • Twice Reformed
