Marvel’s Wolverine from Insomniac is here and it has an incredibly easy Platinum to earn. Nothing here is missable and everything can be done in a single playthrough. If you do happen to miss anything, it can quickly and easily be cleaned up post game via chapter select.
Step 1 – Main Story + Collectibles + Misc Trophies
This game is very linear and not very long. You’ll obviously need to complete the story, but everything can be completed your first time through. As you play through the story, pick up collectibles and knock out the chapter specific trophies. The maps are not big and can easily be explored as there is really nowhere else to go. Each of the collectibles will basically guide you to them.
When you’re near a Whiskey Bottle, a scent trail will appear that you can follow to the bottle. Nightmare Doors will spawn basically on the main path. A big purple root will spawn out of the ground and lead you right to the door. As for the Material Crates, these will emit a big blue pulse out that you can very easily see when you are somewhat near the a crate. Collectibles can be made even easier to find by utilizing an accessibility feature. Go to the Pause Menu > Settings> Visuals > Collectibles and Interacts Shader. You can turn that on and the game will highlight collectibles on screen for you to very easily find.
You can find the locations of every collectible and misc trophy in the Marvel’s Wolverine Collectible Guide.
The only thing not tracked in this guide are the XP Caches. These are containers that will give you XP when you damage them. You’ll need to destroy at least 100 of them for a trophy. But don’t worry, there are well over 100 of these to find. They are usually out in the open and in combat sections. The maps are pretty linear and contained, so searching these out will not take that much time.
The following missions will have mission specific trophies for you to keep an eye out for:
- The One That Got Away – Greased
- Raise Some Hell – Recycled
- Jetlag – Ground Control
- Get Angry – Poseidon’s Kiss
- In The Shadows – That’s Cheating
- We Were Wrong – Saturn Slam
- Red Right Hand – Harmer’s Market
Step 2 – Final Nightmare Trial
After the the story, the final Nightmare Trial will be unlocked. You need to earn at least a bronze score on every Nightmare Trial, including this final one as well. So that’ll be a total of 15 Nightmare Trials are needed to complete with a bronze. After you’ve finished the final one, you’ll need to leave the cabin and walk along a path for a bit to unlock the hidden memory.
Step 3 – Clean Up
If there is anything you haven’t finished yet, you’ll need to go through and clean up whatever else you may need. This can be done very easily via chapter select from the cabin.

If you need to farm some XP post game, you can replay the mission, I’m Still Here. Shortly after the beginning of the mission, there will be a combat encounter where enemies are using portals to spawn in. You’ll need to destroy these portals in order to complete the section. If you don’t destroy them, enemies will keep spawning in. You’ll need to destroy the first portal and then leave the remaining three. You can craft suits from the Touch Pad menu during missions. In order to get this trophy, you will need to craft 20 suits.
You can find the locations of every Material Crate in the Marvel’s Wolverine Collectible Guide.
