Cult of the Lamb Trophy & Achievement Guide

Welcome to the Cult of the Lamb Trophy and Achievement guide! Cult of the Lamb is a more forgiving roguelike. The combat is not as difficult as in other roguelikes. So if you’re put off by the genre’s difficulty, this one may be worth looking into.

Overall, this is an easy list to complete. There are a lot of Trophies/Achievements that are unmissable as the actions are required to progress the story. There is only one missable Trophy/Achievement to keep an eye out for and one that isn’t missable, but can be a pain if a certain item is not acquired.

There are difficulty options and NO difficulty related Trophies/Achievements. Everything here can be earned on “Easy” if you’d like.

  • 5/10 Estimated Difficulty
  • 15-25 Estimated Hours to completion
  • 1 Playthrough
  • 0 Missable – Everything else can still be earned post game.

Fishing Faster

You’re going to need to catch one of every type of fish in the game. Fishing itself is easy and everything can be caught in the same location. However, some of the fish types are rare and can take a while to spawn. You can significantly speed this process up, fortunately.

There is a mechanic in the game that will have you unlocking permanent abilities and rituals for you and your cult. These are called doctrines and there are five different categories. You will be presented with two doctrines and you must choose one of them. The one you don’t choose will be gone forever.

Now, I bring all that up here because there is a doctrine under the “Sustenance” category that can help you spawn rare fish faster. The doctrine is called “Ritual of Ocean’s Bounty”. This will be available to acquire when you reach the third level of Sustenance. It is highly recommended that you choose this doctrine in order to speed up the “Teach a Lamb to Fish” Trophy/Achievement.

Flawless

The hardest part of this list is going to be beating the four main bosses without taking damage.

These Trophies/Achievements sound harder than they are. There is a method that can be used to make this much easier. The Golden Fleece method is detailed under the “Order” Trophy/Achievement.

Basically, there is an item that you can wear that will increase your damage each time you kill an enemy. You can stack this up and manage to kill the bosses very quickly in just a few hits.

All of the required bosses can be replayed if needed as well. Those Trophies/Achievements are not missable.

Bugs

At the time of launch, the game is very buggy. The majority of the Trophies/Achievements work just fine, but it is possible for “Weigher of Souls” to glitch. There is currently no workaround other than having to start a new game.

Another issue plaguing the game is the snail form. The Trophy/Achievement itself isn’t glitched, but an item needed for it is glitched. In order to get the snail form, you need to kill snails found in the arena and get them to drop snail statues. Right now, the statues spawn rate is very very low. In addition to that, the snails appear to de-spawn once you kill the second boss.

The developer has already confirmed that a fix for the snails will be coming soon in a patch.

 Godhood

No longer a servant, no less than a God.

cult of the lamb platinum trophy

 First Follower

The first devotee to the Cult of the Lamb.

This is an unmissable story related Trophy/Achievement.

The game will walk you through the process of recruiting followers in the very beginning of the game as a tutorial.

 Deal with the Devil

A deal that cannot be undone.

This is an unmissable story related Trophy/Achievement.

This will be earned in the very beginning of the game when you agree to start your cult and help The One Who Waits.

 Preacher of Truth

Let the Word be known.

This is an unmissable story related Trophy/Achievement.

This will be earned by holding your first sermon. This is something that the game will walk you through as a tutorial. You will need to build up enough devotion from your cult to earn a Devine Inspiration. You will then use that to unlock and build your temple. You can then hold the sermon inside of the temple.

 The First Death

Salvation awaits the fallen soul.

This will be earned after your first follower dies. This is not earned for you dying.

This can be paired with the “Sacrificial Beast” Trophy/Achievement. You will have to sacrifice a follower as part of the story early on in the game.

 Death to Non-Believers

Defeat the first mini-boss.

This is an unmissable story related Trophy/Achievement.

In each of the four combat areas, there will be three mini bosses that you will need to defeat in order to unlock the door to the main boss. This will be earned after beating your first one.

The Flock Grows

Gain 5 Followers.

See the “Flock of All” Trophy/Achievement below for more details.

 Flock of Many

Gain 10 Followers.

See the “Flock of All” Trophy/Achievement below for more details.

Flock of All

Gain 20 Followers.

As you play through the game you’re going to need to recruit followers to your cult. You will need to reach certain follower counts in order to open doors to combat areas. In addition to that, you’re going to need to have at least 20 followers in order to reach the final boss, so this is something that is required to progress the story all the way to end.

Followers can be recruited in several different ways.

  • They can be found in the arenas tied up. The rooms that have potential followers will be marked with an outline of a person. Once you free them, hold / and they will be teleported back to your cult.
  • Defeating mini bosses will reveal potential followers that can be recruited. Once the mini boss is defeated, they will turn into a potential follower.
  • Followers that you have recruited will ask you to recruit followers that show up to your cult as side quests.
  • Later on in the story, there will be vendor that will sell you followers. This vendor will also show up outside of your cult and sell you one follower per day toward the end of the game.

No matter what method you use to recruit followers, once they are teleported back to your cult, they wont be an official follower just yet. You will need to then go to the platform in your cult and accept them. After that, they will have officially joined your cult.

cult of the lamb trophy achievement guide

Be aware that followers can die. They can get sick and die, they will grow old and die and some parts of the game will require that you sacrifice them. You will need to make sure that you’re taking care of them and keeping your follower count up as that number will fluctuate.

 Do No Evil

Defeat the One Who Waits.

This is an unmissable story related Trophy/Achievement.

The One Who Waits will be the final boss in the game. You will need to have at least 20 followers in your cult in order to perform the ritual to begin the fight against him.

Order

Beat Leshy without taking damage.

In order to earn these Trophies/Achievements, you will need to not take any damage during the main boss fights.

There will also be other enemies in the boss areas that you will need avoid during the fight. Taking damage from them will void this Trophy/Achievement. Keep moving and roll away whenever enemies get near you. Move in to get a few shots in on the boss before it attacks and then quickly roll away to avoid the attack. Pay attention to the attack patterns and the targets on the ground where some attacks will land.

You can roll through the projectiles shot by the bosses and you will not take damage from them.

It is possible to fight a boss again after beating them. Run through their arena and destroy the Devotion Statue with a red X on it. This will reveal a teleporter that will take you to a rematch against the boss.

cult of the lamb trophy achievement guide

cult of the lamb trophy achievement guide

There is a method that can make these Trophies/Achievements very easy.

First you will need to have unlocked the Golden Fleece by spending a Holy Talisman at the temple in your cult.

cult of the lamb trophy achievement guide

While wearing the Golden Fleece, your attack will increase by .1% for each enemy that you kill without taking damage. Run through whatever arena you need and kill as many enemies as you can without taking damage to increase your damage percentage. That might sound hard, but once your weapon percentage starts to get high, you’ll be one or two hitting enemies. You can see your damage percentage in the upper left corner of the screen.

The Golden Fleece method is best paired with the projectile curses and the heavy hammer weapons. The hammers already do a lot of damage, so they will be even stronger when used with the Golden Fleece. If you start a run and don’t get the weapon you want, you can immediately escape by holding . If you don’t have the escape ability unlocked, you can just quit to the main menu. Load up your game and enter the arena again to refresh your weapon choices.

When you’ve got the right weapons and a high damage percentage, challenge the boss. It is possible to take out the bosses in just a few hits with this method.

 Sate

Beat Heket without taking damage.

See the “Order” Trophy/Achievement above for more details.

 Cure

Beat Kallamar without taking damage.

See the “Order” Trophy/Achievement above for more details.

 Peace

Beat Shamura without taking damage.

See the “Order” Trophy/Achievement above for more details.

 Keeper of Secrets

Take confession.

To take a confession, you’re going to need to unlock the Confession Booth by using a Divine Inspiration at the shrine in your cult.

cult of the lamb trophy achievement guide

After that, build the confession booth and then go it.

  • Confession Booth
    • 8 Coins
    • 3 Stone Blocks
    • 4 Wooden Planks

Press / near the entrance and you will sit inside of it. One of your followers will come and you’ll listen to them. This will pop as soon as they’re done. You only need to do this once for the Trophy/Achievement.

You can get blocks and planks by building a Refinery and putting stone and wood into it.

  • Refinery
    • 16 Coins
    • 4 Stone
    • 8 Lumber

Leader of the Crusade

Find all 5 locations.

The five locations required for this are the locations that you use the pentagram teleporter outside of your cult to reach.

These will be unlocked by progressing through the story. There will be an NPC in each of the arenas that you will eventually meet. They will speak to you and tell you to meet them in their areas on the map.

  • Lonely Shack
  • Pilgrim’s Passage
  • Smuggler’s Sanctuary
  • Spore Grotto
  • Midas’ Cave

 Bringer of Light

Reignite the lighthouse.

The lighthouse is found in Pilgrim’s Passage. In order to unlock this location, you will need to first find The Fisherman who will appear randomly as you progress through the story. After that, you can then use the pentagram teleporter just above your cult to travel there.

Once there, the lighthouse is found to the bottom left of the area.

cult of the lamb trophy achievement guide

Go inside and speak with the NPC in the middle of the room. After that you can interact with the stove behind them and use 15 wood to re-light the lighthouse which will pop this Trophy/Achievement.

 Full Flock

Unlock all Follower Skins.

UNOBTAINABLE

At the time of launch, this Trophy/Achievement is unobtainable. The required drops for the snail form are glitched and will not spawn. The developer has already stated that a fix will be on the way shortly.

When followers are being recruited into your cult, you’ll be able to edit their appearance. You’ll be able to change what animal form they are. In order to unlock this, you will need to have unlocked every single animal form.

You do not have to use every form, you just need to have them all unlocked.

The majority of forms will be acquired by finding them in chests throughout the combat arenas, by rescuing followers, beating bosses and by being bought from vendors. There are some that are hidden and those will be listed and detailed below.

The vendors that sell forms are pictured below. There is one of those in each of the overworld locations except for the Lonely Shack.

cult of the lamb trophy achievement guide

  • General – 16 Forms
    • Four of the forms will be found in random chests throughout the combat arenas or by recruiting random followers.
    • Three of the forms are purchased from Forneus’ shop for free. Forneus is a cat vendor that will randomly appear in the combat arenas. His shop will be marked by a store icon with a small cat head under it when deciding what path to take.
  • Darkwood – 10 Forms
    • Three forms are acquired by killing mini bosses.
    • One form is acquired by killing the Witness boss. This is done by running through the Darkwood arena after having killed the main boss.
    • Six are purchased from the vendor in Pilgrim’s Passage or found in random chests or by recruiting random followers in Darkwood.
  • Anura – 9 Forms
    • Three forms are acquired by killing mini bosses.
    • One form is acquired by killing the Witness boss. This is done by running through the Anura arena after having killed the main boss.
    • Five are purchased from the vendor in Spore Grotto or found in random chests or by recruiting random followers in Anura.
  • Anchordeep – 9 Forms
    • Three forms are acquired by killing mini bosses.
    • One form is acquired by killing the Witness boss. This is done by running through the Anchordeep arena after having killed the main boss.

  • Secret Forms
    • Rat – This form is found behind Ratau’s shack on the left side by the pile of wood in Lonely Shack.
    • Fish – This form is found randomly while fishing. Continue fishing and this will eventually be caught with whatever fish you manage to catch.
    • Axolotl – This form will be given to you after giving 25 Crystals to the lighthouse keeper in Pilgrim’s Passage. This is after you’ve re-lit the lighthouse. The crystals can be found in Anchordeep.
    • Crab – This form is found by catching one of the small crabs that are running around in Smuggler’s Sanctuary. Run up to one and catch it when you’re close enough. Be quick as they will run away.
    • Star – This form is found by going behind the pile of gold in the top right section of Midas’ Cave.
    • Poop – Continue making the Bowls of Poop dishes at the cooking fire in your cult. This will eventually drop. You will need 3 poops to make a bowl. You can collect poop from your followers as they will regularly be pooping all around your camp.
    • Wolf – The Wolf form is unlocked by completing all four steps of the Wolf’s side quest that begins in Pilgrim’s Passage. You can find a walkthrough for that if needed under the “Transmute” Trophy/Achievement.
    • Monster – The Monster form is unlocked by doing a few steps.

First, you will need to find Rakshasa. Rakshasa is a snail vendor that will give you food for free. His shop will be marked by a store icon with food underneath it.

Once there, attack the giant snail. Continue attacking the snail and you will eventually have to fight Rakshasa. Beat him and he will give you the blueprint for the Massive Monster Shrine.

Return to your cult and build the Monster Shrine. At night, go to the Monster Shrine and pray at it. You will then receive the monster form.

    • Snail – This is another multi-step form.

In order to get the infamous snail form, you’re going to have to kill the small snails found on the ground in Darkwood and Anura. Kill them until they drop Snail Shells. You’re going to need five Snail Shells.

After that, you need to bring the shells to five hidden snail statues found in overworld locations.

Bring a shell to each of the statues and you’ll be rewarded with the snail form. Unfortunately, the shell spawns are bugged. There is a patch coming soon that will address this.

It is also unclear if buying the companions from Helob outside of your cult counts for this card. Try buying the followers from Helob while on a run in an arena. The amount of followers is either glitched or random for every player. Continue buying followers from Helob until this card is given to you.

Teach a Lamb to Fish

Catch 1 of every fish.

As you progress through Darkwood, you will eventually meet The Fisherman. He will reveal the location of Pilgrim’s Passage where you can travel to and fish.

Use the pentagram teleporter to go to Pilgrim’s Passage and then head to the bottom right to find the Fisherman again. Speak to him and he will give you a fishing quest which will unlock fishing for you.

You can stand to the left of the Fisherman to fish.

You will need to catch at least one of each fish listed below:

  • Blowfish
  • Crab
  • Lobster
  • Minnow
  • Octopus
  • Salmon
  • Squid
  • Tuna

It’s important to note that there is also a swordfish that can be caught, but that does not seem to be needed for this as I popped the Trophy without having caught it.

Some of the fish appear more rarely than the others, but you can increase your odds of finding them by performing a ritual before heading out to fish. You can acquire the Ritual of Ocean’s Bounty from the Sustenance category in the temple by declaring a new doctrine. This will be available to acquire when you reach the third level of Sustenance.

cult of the lamb trophy achievement guide Crosser of Thresholds

A new world awaits.

This is an unmissable story related Trophy/Achievement.

This will be earned after completing your first ritual. This is something that will be done as part of a tutorial early on in the game.

Sacrificial Beast

Sacrifice a Follower.

This is an unmissable story related Trophy/Achievement.

Your first follower will be sacrificed as part of the story. You will be walked through this as a tutorial in order to progress the story.

cult of the lamb trophy achievement guide Weigher of Souls

Sacrifice 10 Followers.

Glitch Warning

There are multiple ways to sacrifice followers throughout the game. However this Trophy/Achievement only seems to count followers that are sacrificed in the temple via the Sacrifice of the Flesh ritual.

Select the Sacrifice of the Flesh ritual and choose a follower to sacrifice.

Sacrificing followers during side quests did not appear to count toward this as my total was well above 10. So make sure to use the ritual to get this done.

 Hoarder of Wealth

Have 666 gold coins.

This is something that should come over time as you playthrough the game. You’ll earn coins by completing arena runs. Save up your coins and this will pop once you have 666 or more coins. It does not need to be exactly 666 coins.

cult of the lamb trophy achievement guide Weapons of Plenty

Unlock all weapons.

Weapons and curses are unlocked by holding sermons and some rituals. in your temple. When you perform a sermon, you will receive points. Once the bar is full, you’ll be able to unlock a weapon or curse. All you have to do here is unlock each tile in both categories to earn these Trophies/Achievements.

You can hold one sermon per day.

cult of the lamb trophy achievement guide Curses of Plenty

Unlock all curses.

See the “Weapons of Plenty” Trophy/Achievement above for more details.

 Devotion

Fully Upgrade Cult.

This description is a little vague, but what it means is unlocking the four upgrades for your shrine in your cult.

When your followers worship the shrine, it’ll collect devotion that you can then drain from it. When you collect enough to fill the meter, you’ll be able to purchase upgrades by using a Divine Inspiration.

You’ll automatically start the game with the first rank unlocked. After that, you will need to buy Cult II, Cult III, and Cult IV in order to earn this Trophy/Achievement.

cult of the lamb trophy achievement guide Transform

Unlock a new fleece.

See the “Transmute” Trophy/Achievement below for more details.

cult of the lamb trophy achievement guide Transmute

Unlock all fleeces.

There are six fleeces total, but five that are needed to unlock. The first one will be your default outfit that provides no bonus.

They are unlocked in the temple and can be found under the “Crown” menu. Each of the fleeces have different abilities that they will grant you while wearing them.

Each one of them will cost one Holy Talisman. Holy Talismans are broken up into pieces of four. When you get all four pieces, you will have a full talisman and can unlock a fleece.

cult of the lamb trophy achievement guide

In order to earn the pieces, you’re going to have to complete side quests for NPCs that are not in your cult. These NPCs will be found in random locations as you make your way through the combat arenas.

Once you find an NPC and speak to them, their location will be added to your map. You’ll then be able to travel to their locations using the pentagram teleporter outside of your cult. These locations are the locations needed for the “Leader of the Crusade” Trophy/Achievement.

  • The Fisherman

cult of the lamb trophy achievement guide

The Fisherman can be found in a random location in Darkwood. After finding and speaking with him in Darkwood, he will then be located in Pilgrim’s Passage. Speak to him in Pilgrim’s Passage and he will teach you how to fish and then give you a side quest.

You will need to catch and turn in four types of fish. He’ll give you a piece of a Holy Talisman for each fish that you turn in to him. Keep fishing until you’ve caught everything required.

Make sure to acquire and perform the Ritual of Ocean’s Bounty in your temple to increase spawn rates.

    1. Squid
    2. Octopus
    3. Lobster
    4. Crab
  • Sozo

cult of the lamb trophy achievement guide

Sozo can be found in a random location in Anura. After finding and speaking with him in Anura, he will then be located in Spore Grotto. Speak to him in Spore Grotto and will give you a side quest. There will be four steps to his quest and he will reward you with four Holy Talisman pieces.

  1. Give Sozo 10 Menticide Mushrooms
  2. Give Sozo 20 Menticide Mushrooms
    • Mushrooms can be found in Anura by attacking them in the environment. You can also farm them in your cult.
  3. Perform the Brainwashing Ritual at your temple.
    • After giving the 20 mushrooms, Sozo will give you the Brainwashing Ritual. Return to him after performing the ritual.
  4. Build the Mushroom Sculpture in your cult.
    • Sozo will give you the blueprints for the sculpture after you perform the brainwashing ritual when you speak to him again. Build the sculpture and then return to him to receive his final Holy Talisman piece.
    • The sculpture will require 20 Gold Bars and 35 Mushrooms.
  • Plimbo

cult of the lamb trophy achievement guide

Plimbo can be found in a random location in Anchordeep. After finding and speaking with him in Anchordeep, he will then be located in Smuggler’s Sanctuary. Speak to him in Smuggler’s Sanctuary and will give you a side quest.

What you need to do here is bring him four items found by killing mini bosses. These are called “Eye of a Witness”.

After you kill the main boss of an arena, you can replay that arena. Instead of encountering the main boss, you will encounter a mini boss called a Witness. They will drop an Eye of a Witness when you kill them.

There are four arenas so that means there are four Witnesses. Go through each arena and kill these bosses. Return to Plimbo with the Eyes and he will give you a Holy Talisman piece for each Eye that you bring him.

    • Darkwood
    • Anura
    • Anchordeep
    • Silk Cradle
  • Midas

Midas can be found in a random location in Silk Cradle. After finding and speaking with him in Silk Cradle, he will then be located in Midas’ Cave. If you stand in the open mouth near the piles of gold, you can sacrifice a follower for Midas.

You will need to sacrifice four followers here and Midas will reward you with a piece of Holy Talisman for each follower you sacrifice. Four sacrifices will equal four Holy Talisman pieces.

cult of the lamb trophy achievement guide

  • Wolf

The quests for the wolf only take place in the locations that you can travel to via the teleporter. So, you will need to have all of the locations unlocked in order to complete these quests.

These quests are also only available at night. You can also only complete one of them per night. The Wolf’s locations will be marked with a half moon symbol.

The Wolf will reward you with a piece of Holy Talisman for each meeting. You will also receive the wolf form for your followers by completing these.

The order of the locations after Pilgrim’s Passage may differ in your game, but the half moon locations will be the same.

  • The first location is in Pilgrim’s Passage. Run to the end of the dock and you should see a message on screen that says to “Peer into the Darkness.” Select it and you will meet the wolf.
    • For the first meeting, you will need to feed him a large fish.

cult of the lamb trophy achievement guide

  • The Smuggler’s Sanctuary
    • This location is found to the right of the area at the end of a small dock. For the second meeting, you will need to sacrifice one follower.

Cook a Follower meat meal.

In order to cook a meat meal, you will need to have a follower die in your cult. This does not count for sacrifices.

As you play through the game, time will pass. With that, your followers will age. When they get old enough they will die. When this happens, go to the body and press / to harvest their meat.

After that, go to your cooking fire and cook a meal using the meat from the dead follower. It will be called “Minced Follower Meat”. Cook that meal to earn this.

cult of the lamb trophy achievement guide

cult of the lamb trophy achievement guide Gospel

Unlock all doctrines.

The description for this is actually incorrect on Xbox. It is NOT for sermons.

The Doctrines are unlocked in the temple. There are five different categories that require four doctrines each.

  • Afterlife
  • Work & Worship
  • Possessions
  • Law & Order
  • Sustenance
    • It is recommended to choose the “Ritual of the Ocean’s Bounty” doctrine in this category when it becomes available. This will make catching every type of fish much easier.

In order to unlock a doctrine, you will need to first collect three pieces of a Commandment Stone. Each time you collect three, they’ll make a whole Stone which you can take to your temple and use on a doctrine.

cult of the lamb trophy achievement guide

The pieces of the stones can be acquired by completing side quests for followers and by fully leveling up a follower’s loyalty. You can level up loyalty meters by blessing followers, giving them gifts, providing sermons, holding rituals, and by using the confession booth.

When you go to unlock a doctrine, you will have to choose one of two doctrines. These are permanent and cannot be changed, so make sure to pick carefully.

cult of the lamb trophy achievement guide Game of Chance

Win a game of Knucklebones.

See the “Master of Chance” Trophy/Achievement below for more details.

cult of the lamb trophy achievement guide Master of Chance

Defeat all opponents in Knucklebones.

Knucklebones is a dice game that can be played at the Lonely Shack. You will gain access to this location by progressing the story early on in the game.

There are three opponents that you need to beat for this Trophy/Achievement, but there are four opponents that can be played. You will encounter all of them in the arenas. Each arena will have one of the opponents. They are in random locations in the arenas. When you come across them, they’ll talk to you and tell you to come challenge them in Lonely Shack. The next time you go to the shack after meeting an opponent, they will automatically be there.

You do not need to bet any coins for this. You can play them without betting money and that will count for this Trophy/Achievement.

Ratau can be played, but is not required for the Trophy/Achievement.

  • Flinky – Anura
  • Klunko & Bop – Anchordeep
  • Shrumy – Silk Cradle

    1. The game is more stable now than at release and the main culprit of Trophy issues has since been patched. You should be good to go

  1. There is an error in this guide, I sadly discovered the “all tarot cards” achievement is missable if you sacrifice ratau to the wolf before buying “The Hearts 3”, since he’s no longer alive.

    1. The Hearts 3 can be bought from Ratoo in the heart room while on a run.

If you didn’t get the card before sacrificing Ratau, The Hearts 2 can be found in the Lonely Shack after finishing the sacrificing side quest.
