Hades II Trophy Guide and Roadmap

Welcome to the Hades II Trophy Guide and Roadmap!

  • 7/10 – Estimated Difficulty – 5 /10 – God Mode
  • 65 – 85 – Estimated Hours to Completion
    • Depends on player efficiency and RNG
  • Many Runs – Minimum Play-Throughs
  • 0 – Missable Trophies
  • 0 – Difficulty Related Trophy
  • 0 – Online Multiplayer Trophies

To start, there is nothing missable on this Trophy list, but it is a grindy one. If you’re familiar with the first Hades game, Hades II works the same way. Everything is advanced in small chunks by completing a run. For most things, win or lose on a run will still advances stories. After each run, you’ll spawn at the Crossroads. While you’re here, you need to make sure to talk to everyone that has an exclamation point above their heads. While you’re there, you should also buy any gifts that are sold by the Wretched Broker. Gifts are going to be key in advancing a lot of this Trophy list. You will need to give NPCs gifts repeatedly. You can give one per night/run per character. Gifts can be found as room clear rewards, crafted and bought. Every character has a meter that shows you their bond level with them. You’re going to need to fill these up for everyone. So make sure you are always acquiring, and giving gifts.

The other thing you need to be aware of is collecting materials. Always be on the lookout during your runs for materials to collect. This will be fishing spots, rocks/metals to mine, lost shades, seeds, and plants. You’re going to need these materials to complete this list. Unlock the tools for collecting materials from the Silver Pool in the Crossroads as early as you can. Once you have seeds, you can unlock garden plots in the Crossroads. Always make sure to plant any seeds you have. They will grow and produce materials on a timer. The timer only counts down while you’re on a run. The most important thing to remember is to never waste a night/run. There is always something to do. Talk to NPCs, give them gifts, collect materials/gifts, check your incantations and Fated Prophecies.

RNG

RNG plays a heavy factor in Hades II. A lot of things on this list involve getting specific dialogue from characters. These can be entirely RNG as to when they are available. All you can do to speed things along is to speak with every character as often as you can, and give them gifts as often as you can.

God Mode

Just like in the original Hades, God Mode is available here. Turning it on will not disable Trophies. God Mode will decrease the amount of damage you take every time you die. Your damage reduction will increase by increments of 2%. So the more you die, the less damage you will take on your following run. God Mode caps out at 80%.

True Ending

When you’ve finally beaten Cronos, there will still be plenty of things to do. The true ending can be obtained by following the steps below.
  • Defeat Chronos multiple times until the Gigaros spawns next to the bed in the room after beating Cronos.
  • Once you have Gigaros, cast the Disintegration of Monstrosity incantation.
  • Beat Typhon.
  • After you’ve beaten Typhon, he should drop an Entropy.
  • With the Entropy, cast the Dissolution of Time.
  • Beat Cronos again.

Epilogue

After you’ve finished the true ending, you will then be in the epilogue of the game. There are still things to do here and the story will shift to a new objective that must be completed.

During runs, you’ll be able to find materials that can then be used at the cauldron in Crossroads to cast an incantation. In order to get far in the game and complete this list, you’re going to need to be casting incantations before runs. So, just keep casting them and this will come over time. Make sure to keep an eye out for resources during your runs. You’ll get more incantations available at the cauldron as you progress through the game by making story progress, beating bosses, growing your relationships with characters, gathering resources, etc. Make sure to check the cauldron after every run.

  • Rod of Fishing
    • 2 Fate Fabric
    • 1 Bronze

Once you have the rod, look for shiny spots in the water. These will mark where you can fish. Try to catch a fish every time you see that spot in the water. The rarity of the fish you catch is determined by how quick you fished when the line was pulled. If you bring the animal familiar, Toula, with you, she will increase the spawn rate of these and catch the fish automatically for you. You will also need to raise your bond with Poseidon. Continue raising your bond with Poseidon and keep catching fish until this prophecy becomes available.

Unrivaled Prowess

Fulfill the Prophecy ‘Unrivaled Prowess’

First, you will need to Unlock the Oath of the Unseen. This is done by beating Cronos one time. The Oath of the Unseen will then be added to the Crossroads next to where you start your runs. After that, you will need to beat Hecate while having any amount of fear active from the Oath of the Unseen. This is something you will have to do for the, “Behold Night’s Champion,” Trophy. When you’re back at the Crossroads, there will be a new option added to the Oath of the Unseen. It will be the Vow of Rivals.

  • Beat the first boss in the Underground and Surface (Hecate and Polyphemus) with Vow of Rivals turned on.

Afterward, you will need to cast the Rivals of Depth and Sea incantation at the cauldron. Reminder, that the requirements below are all accumulative. You will likely have already completed most of the objectives before the incantations are available.

Rivals of Depth and Sea

  • Beat Hecate and Polyphemus with Vow of Rivals turned on
  • Beat Charybdis at least one time
  • Beat Scylla at least three times
  • Beat Eris at least three times

With all that done, cast the incantation and then you will unlock the second Vow of Rival challenge in the Oath of the Unseen. Turn it on and beat Scylla and Eris. After they are beat, you will need to cast another incantation.

Rivals of Plain and Peak

  • Beat Scylla and Eris with the second step of Vow of Rivals turned on
  • Beat Cerberus at least three times
  • Beat Prometheus at least three times

With all that done, cast the incantation and then you will unlock the third Vow of Rival challenge in the Oath of the Unseen. Turn it on and beat Cerberus and Prometheus. After they are beat, you will need to cast another incantation.

Rivals of Old and Rot

  • Beat Cerberus and Prometheus with the third step of Vow of Rivals turned on
  • Beat Chronos at least three times
  • Beat Typhon at least three times
  • Speak to Cronos in both the Underworld and Surface after getting the true ending

Cast the incantation and then you will need to beat Cronos and Typhon with the fourth Vow of Rival challenge in the Oath of the Unseen turned on.

  • Witch’s Staff
  • Sister Blades
  • Umbral Flames
  • Moonstone Axe
  • Argent Skull
  • Black Coat

Arcana of the Ages

Fulfill the Prophecy ‘Arcana of the Ages’

In order to earn this Trophy, you’re going to have to to beat Cronos while using every Arcana card. You won’t be able to equip them all at once, so you’re going to have to do this over the course of multiple runs.

Bearing Dark Gifts

Fulfill the Prophecy ‘Bearing Dark Gifts’

Before you can earn this, you’re going to have to unlock every weapon from the Silver Pool (The Arms of Night). Then, you will need to unlock every aspect for each weapon (The Unseen Sentinel). With those two Trophies out of the way, you will then need to complete a run, Underworld or Surface, by using every aspect for every weapon. There are 24 aspects. So you’re going to have to clear runs with every aspect. Start working on these clears as soon as you unlock the the aspects. You can get most of them done while working on other Trophies. Just remember to switch your aspects before going on runs.

Born to Win

Fulfill the Prophecy ‘Born to Win’

This Trophy is tied to completing a quest for Chaos.

  • Find Chaos Gates during runs. Go through them and speak to Chaos.
  • Give them gifts and raise your bond level.
  • Do this until you get their Keepsake, Transcendent Embryo.
  • Equip the Transcendent Embryo before starting a run.
  • Speak to Chaos while wearing the Transcendent Embryo. They should give you the prophecy.
  • Start a new run wearing the Transcendent Embryo and beat either Chronos, or Typhon. You need to wear it for the entire run and complete it.
  • Speak to Chaos after completing the run to finish this off.

Depending on how many times you’ve spoken to Chaos, it may take a few runs before the conversation progresses to the prophecy.

Fair Fight

Earn 1,000 Gold competing against Nemesis

During your runs, Nemesis can randomly appear in Underworld rooms. When she does, she will sometimes challenge you to a competition to see who can defeat more enemies in that room. The score will be in the top left corner of the screen. All you have to do is kill more enemies than her until the room is cleared. Each time you win, you’ll be rewarded with gold. So, you’re going to have to beat her multiple times in order to 1,000 gold. There is a lot to do on this Trophy list, so this is something that should naturally come as you work through the rest of this list.

Unfamiliar Forms

Alter the appearance of each Animal Familiar

Before you can earn this, you’re going to have to recruit all five familiars. Once you have them all, you will need to speak with Circe on the surface route. make sure that you have crafted Witch’s Delight before speaking to her. She will give you the Alteration of Familiar Forms incantation. You will also need to have fully upgraded your familiars. Cast this at the cauldron in the Crossroads and you’ll unlock the ability to change the appearance of your familiars.

  • Fully Upgrade Familiars
  • Speak to Circe to get Alteration of Familiar Forms
  • Cast Alteration of Familiar Forms
  • Interact with Familiars and Change Their Appearances

Sheep’s Clothing

Slay a Sister of the Dead while afflicted with Twilight Curse

This is earned during the boss fight against Hecate in Erebus. During the fight, she will hit you with the Twilight Curse that will transform you into a sheep. For this Trophy, you need to get a kill while you are transformed into the sheep. The Sister of the Dead are the smaller enemies that spawn during this phase. An easy way to get this Trophy is to attack a tree that is next to one of the Sisters of the Dead while you’re in sheep form. The tree will explode and you’ll get a terrain kill. You will only get a small window to try and get this Trophy per run, so make sure you have not destroyed all of the trees in the boss arena.

Breaking Up the Band

Use Night Bloom to raise a Siren

This is earned during the boss fight against, Scylla and the Sirens in Oceanus. However, there is some setup before you reach them that will be required. Before you reach the fight, you’ll need to meet Selene (Moon) and choose the Night Bloom Hex. When used, Night Bloom will raise your most recently defeated enemy to fight for you for a limited time. There are three enemies involved with the Scylla and the Sirens boss fight. Once there, focus your attacks on either the one playing the drums, or the one playing guitar. Do not focus all of your attacks on Scylla, the big enemy in the shell. Once you damage one of the smaller two enemies enough, they will die. When you kill one of them, immediately use your Hex to revive them. They’ll fight for you for a short period of time. The enemy playing the drums is easier to target as she stays in one place for the entire fight. Just be ready to dodge the AoE attacks near her.

Dressed to Kill

Reach the final confrontation in an Arachne outfit

For this Trophy, you’re going to have to reach Chronos while still wearing an Arachne outfit. The outfit must remain intact all the way to the Chronos fight. It’s important to note that you do not need to beat him, you just reach him with the dress still active. Arachne is a character that you will randomly meet in Erebus. When you speak to her, she will offer you a selection of outfits that you can choose to wear. These will offer bonuses and provide you with some armor. The armor over your health bar is how you know the outfit is still active. When the armor meter is gone, the outfit is gone. So, even though you’re able to take more damage with an outfit, you’re going to want to avoid taking as much damage as possible. Below are some tips for keeping an outfit intact.

  • Choose the dress with the highest Armor
  • Use Arachne’s Keepsake, Silken Sash. This will provide you with more armor as well as replenish some armor after each room
  • Use boons from Hephaestus that give you armor.
  • Demeter’s boons that freeze enemies are helpful as well. This will slow enemies down and make combat rooms less chaotic

    • After you’ve used the Engraved Pin in three consecutive rooms, you need to let yourself die. Instead of spawning back at the Crossroads, you will have finally found the Fates.
