MediEvil Trophy Guide

Welcome to the MediEvil Trophy Guide from Dayngls Game Guides! Overall, this is a very easy Platinum Trophy to obtain. Luckily, none of these Trophies are missable. Everything can be done via level select. There are a couple Trophies here that are going to require at least two playthroughs, but they are not difficult. The game is pretty short and quick, but one important thing to remember is that anything you do in a level won’t save until you complete the level. Quitting a level will reset any progress you made in the level prior to quitting.

Savior of Gallowmere

Quest Complete-est

Complete all levels in the game.

This is an automatic story related Trophy.

Morten Would Be Proud

Collect all entries of the Book of Gallowmere.

There are 70 Book of Gallowmere entries to be collected. That might sound like
a lot, but you don't really have to go out of your way. You're going to get these
automatically as you play through the game. The Book of Gallowmere keeps track of
all the enemies, locations, NPCs and bosses. You'll unlock these by visiting a new
area for the first time, killing an enemy for the first time or by meeting a new
NPC for the first time. None of these are missable as you can replay any level
at any time.

King of Cups

Collect all the chalice rewards.

There are 20 Chalice rewards to be collected. Chalices are earned by killing
enemies. In each level, you'll notice an empty Chalice in top right corner of
the screen. As you kill enemies, the chalice will be filled up with a percentage.
Keep killing enemies until that percentage reaches 100%. When you hit 100%, a
Chalice will become available to be picked in whatever level you're playing in.

Now, after you've picked up the Chalice, finish the level. Instead of being
taken back to the world overview, you'll be taken to the Hall of Heroes. Here,
you'll notice a slab glowing in front of one of the statues. Which one will
depend on what Chalice you've collected. You'll be given an item after interacting
with the statue. Make sure you do not leave the Hall of Heroes until you have
collected the reward each time you are there.

Wolfsbane

Defeat the Guardians of the Graveyard.

This is an automatic story related Trophy.

A Paneful Demise

Defeat the Stained Glass Demon in the Hilltop Mausoleum.

This is an automatic story related Trophy.

Demolished the Demons

Destroy both Demonettes in the Enchanted Earth.

This is an automatic story related Trophy.

Bone Head Bone Dead

Defeat the Ghost Ship Captain aboard the Ghost Ship.

This is an automatic story related Trophy.

Antagonist

Eradicate the Queen Ant and her minions.

The Queen Ant is an optional boss in a side mission.

First, you need to pick up the Witch Talisman in Cemetery Hill. You'll need a
club before you can get the Talisman. The earliest point to get one is here in
Cemetery Hill. On the bottom left side of the hill with the boulders rolling
down is a small area. You can get to it by sliding down the side of the hill.
Open the chest in this area to receive a club. Now, go around the right side of
the hill and use your new club to destroy a boulder blocking a doorway. The
Talisman can be found in here.

Now that you have the With Talisman, go to Enchanted Earth. Use the Talisman on
the green cauldron to summon the witch. Accept her quest and you'll be sent
underground into ant tunnels. The Ant Queen can be found at the end of this
level.

Pulp King Pumpkin

Defeat the Pumpkin King in mortal pumpkin combat.

This is an automatic story related Trophy.

Not So Scary Now, Eh?

Defeat Lord Kardok and his skeletal steed.

This is an automatic story related Trophy.

Whack-a-wyrm

Defeat the dragon in the Crystal Caves.

In order to fight the dragon, you'll need to pick up two Dragon Gems.

The first is found in The Pumpkin Serpent. You have to use the Witch Talisman
on the cauldron, defeat the Pumpkin King and then use the Talisman on the
cauldron again to receive the Gem.

The second Gem is found in the Inside The Asylum level. You can pick it up in
the cell that the Mayor is being held in at the end of the level.

After you have both Gems, you can then enter a doorway behind a waterfall
in the Crystal Caves. Use the Gems on the dragon statue and it will begin
the fight. You have to use a club to hit the crystals on the ground to make
them drop from the ceiling to damage the dragon. The color of crystal you hit
is the color of crystal that will fall.

Almost A Hero

Give the Knights of Gallowmere everything you have.

This Trophy is earned in the beginning of the very last level called Zarok's
Layer.

The first part of the mission will have you running around healing your army
of skeletons as they fight Zorak's army. You'll have a new weapon equipped
that drains your health and gives it to your skeletons. All you have to do here
is run around holding Square healing everyone. For the Trophy, you have to drain
your health until you have no more health viles.

It's best to attempt this with a low number of full viles.

Lost and Found

Find all the Lost Souls.

See the Trophy "Soul Savior" for more details.

Soul Savior

Lay all the Lost Souls to rest.

There are 19 Souls to find and lay to rest. These become available after
opening the blue chest in The Entrance Hall. This will basically become a 2nd
play-through as you need to find them in each level and then find their solutions
in a different level. You have to finish the level after picking up a soul and
when laying them to rest.

When you find a Soul, they'll give you a riddle. The riddle is the place you need
to take them to. When you get close to a Soul's solution, you'll see a prompt at
the bottom of the screen to push the Touchpad. Press it and select whatever soul
is required.

in the area that requires you to run through the fire with the Dragon Armor
equipped. Hit the explosive chest and the Serpent will spawn out of it after it
explodes. Kill it and the Trophy is yours.

Healthiest Man Alive – Er Dead

Collect every Life Bottle.

There are nine Life Bottles to collect in the game. After you find one, you have
to finish the level in order for it to be saved. The areas are not big or hard to
navigate. They are found in the following levels:

1. Dan's Crypt
2. The Graveyard

8. The Time Device
9. Hall of Heroes - Rewarded for 20th Chalice

Sir Moneybags

Collect 10,000 gold coins.

This is a Trophy that will come over time as you play through the game. You
don't have to have 10,000 coins on you at the same time. You can spend money.
This will be one of the last Trophies you earn. You're going to have to replay
levels multiple times in order to get the Platinum anyway, so just collect as
many coins as you can each time you play a mission.

Coins can be found on the ground, in chests or rewards for completing objectives
or killing enemies.

Old School Sneaky

Attempt to perform any original game cheat code.

At any point in the game, press Options and enter the following code:

Hold L2 (for the entire code) and press
Down, Square, Triangle, Circle, Up, Down, Square, Triangle

The code doesn't actually do anything this time around.

Impaired Drivers

Defeat both Mecha Imps and their taunting Imp pilots.

This is an automatic story related Trophy.

Master Dan-At-Arms

Collect every weapon.

There are 19 weapons to be collected in the game, but only 17 of them are needed
for the Trophy. None of them are missable. Some of these can be found elsewhere,
the areas listed below are where I found them first.

1. Small Sword - Dan's Crypt

Dizzy Decimator

Defeat 30 enemies with the sword spin attack.

The sword is the first weapon you will get. Press Circle to use the spin attack.
Holding Circle will charge the attack up and inflict more damage.

The Answer is Chicken

Throw 42 chicken legs.

The chicken drumsticks are acquired by completing the Witch's quest in The
Enchanted Earth. You get 30 drumsticks each time you complete the level. So,
you're going to have to finish that quest at least two times to get enough
drumsticks. You can also only hold 30 at a time, so throw all 30 of them before
going back and completing the quest again. All you have to do is throw them. You
don't have to hit an enemy with them.

See the Trophy "Witches' Familiar" for more details on accessing the the Witch's
side quest.

Witches’ Familiar

Collect the Witch Talisman and complete both witch quests.

First, you need to pick up the Witch Talisman in Cemetery Hill. You'll need a
club before you can get the Talisman. The earliest point to get one is here in
Cemetery Hill. On the bottom left side of the hill with the boulders rolling down
is a small area. You can get to it by sliding down the side of the hill. Open the
chest in this area to receive a club. Now, go around the right side of the hill
and use your new club to destroy a boulder blocking a doorway. The Talisman can be
found in here.

Now that you have the With Talisman, go to Enchanted Earth. Use the Talisman on
the green cauldron to summon the witch. Accept her quest and you'll be sent
underground into ant tunnels. The Ant Queen can be found at the end of this
level. This is the first quest.

The second quest is in The Pumpkin Serpent level. Use the Witch Talisman on
the cauldron near the beginning of the level. Next, go kill the Pumpkin King.
After that, return to the cauldron and use the With Talisman again. This is the
second quest.

Zip Zap Imp Splat

Fry a dozen Imps with Lightning.

The Lightning weapon is earned as the 15th Chalice reward. Then, go to any of the
levels that feature imps. They can be found in The Hilltop Mausoleum, Crystal
Caves or The Entrance Hall. Shock 12 of them to earn this Trophy.

Gimme That Back!

Lose, then recover your weapon from an Imp.

This is earned in The Hilltop Mausoleum or Crystal Caves levels. The imp enemies
in this level will sometimes run up to you and steal a weapon from you. When this
happens, quickly kill the imp that took a weapon from you.

It’s Not Their Fault They’re Mad

Don’t harm the Mad Family.

This is earned in The Sleeping Village level.

You cannot hurt or kill any of the villagers in this level. They're going to try
to attack you. You just have to keep running from them. Run from objective to
objective completing the mission. As you near the end of the mission, a group of
furnace looking enemies with guns will show up. You can kill these enemies. That
will not void the Trophy. In fact, you have to fight them to get through to the
exit.

You may want to complete this level once killing the villagers just so you know
what to do and where to do it. You can replay the level after and complete it
again without harming anyone via level select.

Deathly Smorgasbord

Die 7 different ways.

There are many different ways to die in this game. A lot more than seven. So, all
you have to do is die. It's important to know that you have to run out of all
health viles. The screen has to say Game Over in order for it to count. Anything
counts for this. Dying from different enemies count, falling, drowning, burning,
traps, bosses etc.

This Trophy has been reported as glitched, but there is a work around for it. If
you've died more than seven different ways, load up The Haunted Ruins level and
play until the end when you have a countdown timer and let the timer run out.
This should pop the Trophy. It worked on my game.

Partial To The Potions

Drink 32 Health Vials.

You will likely unlock this Trophy by just playing the game. You get health
upgrades by collecting Life Bottles. Health viles are the bottles above your
health bar. When your health bar runs out, you'll automatically use a health
vile if you have any.

Now With Added Magic!

Enchant the Broad Sword.

You'll be given the Broad Sword when you bring your 5th Chalice back to the
Hall of Heroes. Once you have it, you can go to the vendor gargaoyle statue at
the Hall entrance to buy an enchantment for it.

Mostly Armless

Kill something with your own arm.

This can be earned at any time. Press the Touchpad and equip your arm as a
weapon. Now, just kill something with it.

Rock Wrangler

Avoid all the rolling rocks on Cemetery Hill.

This is earned in the Cemetery Hill level. This Trophy isn't hard, but it can
be annoying. What you're gonna want to do is skip the opening cutscene and
immediately run straight the hill. If you're fast enough, you can get about half
way up the hill before boulders start rolling down.

There are holes in the sides of mountain you can hide in which will let the
boulders pass over you. The molten boulders can come down in these hiding spots
but there isn't a way to tell if it's going to or not. There are small breaks
every few boulders that allow you to run up to the next spot.

It's also possible to jump to the side and avoid a boulder, but don't rely on
that method as it's a toss up of if you'll make it by or not. Once you get to
the top, the boulders will stop. If you get hit, restart the level.

Colonel Fortesque’s Special Recipe

Turn an enemy into a Roasted Chicken and eat it.

The chicken drumsticks are acquired by completing the Witch's quest in The
Enchanted Earth level. Once you have one, just throw it at an enemy and they'll
turn into a chicken. Run over it and Dan will eat it.

Not So Armless

Defeat Stained Glass Demon with just your arm.

This is earned in The Hilltop Mausoleum level. Equip your arm and only use that.
All you have to do is dodge the Demon's attacks. Every few attacks the Demon will
go to the middle and its heart will become available to attack. Repeatedly press
Circle to throw your arm at the heart. The arm doesn't do much damage, so this
will take a while to beat.

A Shocking Lack Of Respect

Destroy 100 gravestones.

The gravestones are found in The Graveyard, Cemetery Hill and Return to Graveyard.
Just attack them to destroy them.

That’s Just Mean!

Smash a severed hand.

First, you will need to get a Club or Hammer. The earliest you can get a Club
is in Cemetery Hill. Once you have that, play either The Graveyard or Return
to the Graveyard to find severed hands running around. Press Square to smash them.

 Walls Are For Chumps

Return to Dan’s Crypt and smash down the secret wall.

First, you will need to get a Club or Hammer. The earliest you can get a Club
is in Cemetery Hill. Go back to Dan's Crypt and on the right side of the Crypt,
you'll notice a wall that looks slightly different and colored slightly different.
Hit the wall with the Club or Hammer to knock it down.

Arsonist

Set 50 enemies on fire.

This can be earned with the Fire Longbow or the Dragon Armor. The bow is earned
as the 11th Chalice reward. The armor is earned by beating the Dragon in the
Crystal Caves level. Just use either of them on any enemy until you've hit 50.

Stop Hitting Yourself

Get hit by a falling crystal during Dragon battle in Crystal Caves.

Despite what the Trophy says, this can be earned during the battle or afterwards.
If you beat the Dragon, you can still get it by going back to the area without
the dragon.

In order to get hit by a crystal, use a club or hammer to hit the colored crystals
on the ground. Once you do that, get to where the crystal will fall and let it
hit you. Example; if you hit a red crystal on the ground, it will be the red
crystal that falls. You can use whatever color crystal.
