  • Many Runs – Minimum Play-Throughs
  • 0 – Missable Trophies
  • 0 – Difficulty Related Trophy
  • 0 – Online Multiplayer Trophies

If you played Returnal, you might have an idea of what to expect when it comes to the gameplay of Saros, but the Trophies have taken a different route. There are no soul crushing RNG collectible Trophies this time around. Compared to Returnal, Saros‘ Trophy list is much easier and faster to complete. There is nothing missable here and a lot of these are going to come naturally as you play through the game. For the Trophies, you can really go about them however you’d like, but there are a few things to know before getting started.

Fire Every Weapon

When you come across different weapons during your runs, you’re going to want to fire a few shots off of everything. This is because there is a Trophy for registering every variant, and all traits for a weapon class. These are completely random when a weapon spawns. So whenever you come across a weapon, pick it up and fire off a few shots from it. This will register the variant and traits. If it’s a weapon you don’t want, that’s okay. You can pick the weapon you had back up after firing the shots. Make sure to get started on that right away.

There is another Trophy tied to getting 25 kills with every weapon, so when picking these up to register them, it’s worth getting the 25 kills with them. As previously mentioned, the weapon drops are random, so the sooner you start working on this, the better.

Carcosan Modifiers

Saros introduces Carcosan Modifiers. These are gameplay modifiers. Some of them make the game easy, and others make the game harder. You can turn these on and off in-between runs. These can really make the game a lot easier when turned on. So if you’re stuck on anything, are there to help you. There’s a Trophy tied to them anyway, so you’ll be using them often anyway. They become available after beating the second boss. It is also possible to turn on unlimited modifiers by going to Settings > Unlimited Protection Modifiers > ON. With this on, you will no longer have to worry about balancing the score between modifiers and trials.

 The Sun Is Forever

Mastered Carcosa and obtained every SAROS trophy.

 Prophet

Defeat the Overlord of the Shattered Rise.

This is earned by beating the boss, Prophet, at the end of the Shattered Rise biome.

 Bastion

Defeat the Overlord of the Ancient Depths.

This is earned by beating the boss, Bastion, at the end of the Ancient Depths biome.

 Rhabdom

Defeat the Overlord of the Shattered Descent.

This is earned by beating the boss, Rhabdom, at the end of the Shattered Descent biome.

 Legion

Defeat the Overlord of the Blighted Marsh.

This is earned by beating the boss, Legion, at the end of the Blighted Marsh biome.

 Architect

Defeat the Overlord of the Desecrated Fortress.

This is earned by beating the boss, Architect, at the end of the Desecrated Fortress biome.

 Shepherd

Defeat the Overlord of Acolyte’s Haven.

This is earned by beating the boss, Shepherd, at the end of the Acolyte’s Haven biome.

 Priestess

Defeat the Overlord of the Cathedral.

This is earned by beating the boss, Priestess, at the end of the Cathedral biome.

 King

Defeat the Overlord of the Yellow Shore.

This is earned by beating the boss, King, at the end of the Yellow Shore biome.

 Let Go

Complete all Epilogue requirements and defeat the King.

In order to reach the true ending, you’re going to need to beat King to beat the game once normally. Then when you’re back after the credits, you’ll have new objectives to complete. Visit the following locations in order to complete their objectives:

  • Shattered Descent
  • Blighted Marsh
  • Cathedral
  • Finnish the fourth Banyan Tree encounter
  • Beat King again.

Complete those new objectives you’ve been given. When you’re done with those, you will need to fight King one more time. This time however, do not attack to finish him off after his third health bar. Instead, you will need to go and enter the big doorway that has opened. This will lead you into the true ending and eventually, this Trophy.

 Never Let Go

Complete Act 1.

This is a story related Trophy. It will pop after completing the fifth biome, Desecrated Fortress.

 Into Yellow

Complete Act 2.

This is a story related Trophy. It will pop after completing the seventh biome, Cathedral.

 The Blazing Throne

Complete Act 3.

This is a story related Trophy. It will pop after completing the eight biome, Yellow Shore.

 Strange Is The Night

Enter the Banyan Tree for the first time.

See the, “Shattered Glass,” Trophy below for more details.

 Shattered Glass

Complete every encounter inside the Banyan Tree.

The Banyan Tree is found in the Passage. It is above the path that leads to Primary. It will become accessible after beating the second boss, Bastion, and after you have the grapple hook. Once you have the hook, you can then grapple up to it. When it is opened with an orange glow, you can enter it. Once inside, you’ll just need to walk around some environments and interact with a few items to complete the encounter. You only need to do this four times in order to earn the Trophy. Keep an eye on the tree in-between runs. If it’s open, go inside it and complete the encounter. Repeat that until you’ve completed all four.

 Nightmare Strands

Enter and complete all 7 Nightmare Gates at least once.

Each of the first seven biomes will have gates that are marked on your map as you get near them. You’ll need to check side paths (white flags) in order to find them. When entering these, you’ll be taken to a combat encounter that is harder than a normal run. In order to complete them, you just need to kill all of the enemies and collect the rewards afterwards. Do not attempt these until you are further in the game and are comfortable with the combat. You can also use the Carcosan Modifiers to make these easier, if you’d like.

 Full Arsenal

Unlock all Main and Power Weapons, and defeat 25 hostiles with each.

All of the main and power weapons will be unlocked automatically by advancing through the story. There is no way to check how many kills you have with each weapon directly, but you can use the Trophy tracker to help you. The Trophy tracker tracks all of the kills together. So when you get weapon, check to see how many kills the Trophy says, get a kill and then check the Trophy again to see if it went up at all. If it did, you need to use that weapon. If it didn’t go up, you do not need to use that weapon. Along with, Soltari R&D, you’ll want it get started on this early. Pick up new weapons and get 25 kills with them whenever you get the chance. The alt-fire for weapons will count toward this as well.

 Bullet Paradise

Dispatch 1995 regular hostiles.

This is a cumulative Trophy that will unlock naturally over time as you play through the game.

 Carcosan Cartographer

Use the Carcosan Modifiers to embark upon and survive 33 expeditions.

Carcosan Modifiers will become available after returning to the Passage after beating the second boss, Bastion. These will be available by speaking to Primary. These are gameplay modifiers. Some of them make the game easy, and others make the game harder. You can turn these on and off in-between runs. For this Trophy, you will need to win 33 biomes with at least one of them turned on. So, go ahead and use whichever ones you’d like as soon as you’re able in order to cut down the 33 biome grind. If you’re looking to run through these quickly, the first biome is very fast. You can skip most of the regular enemies and the boss room will be open. Run straight to the boss fighting only when you have to.

 Soltari R&D

Unlock and utilize all Traits and Variants of a Weapon.

Each of the weapons in Saros have 3 variants. As an example, the Rifle variants are:

  • Tactical
  • Onslaught
  • Smart

Going further than that, each of the weapons have several different traits. These are listed below the weapon when you pick it up. The variants and traits that you get for a weapon will be completely random. In order to “Utilize” all of them, you need to fire a shot with each gun variant/all traits. Because this is random, you should pick up every gun you come across, fire a couple of shots with it, and then switch back to the weapon you were using if you’d like. You’re going to be doing many runs, so go ahead and start working on this right away. If you like the gun you currently have better than one that is dropped, that’s okay. You can pick it back up after firing shots with the other. There are no kills required for this Trophy and it only needs to be done with 1 weapon.

 Break The Cycle

Absorb 2021 projectiles using the Shield.

The Shield is used by holding . When the Shield is active, you can absorb the blue enemy attacks. Absorbing blue attacks will recharge your power meter which is needed for your heavy attack. This is a cumulative Trophy and something that will come naturally over time as you play through the game.

 Reinforced Carapace

Collect 20 Integrity Augments.

Integrity Augments are the Augments that permanently upgrade your stats. These are found during your runs and they are a mix of green and orange. There are more than 20 and they will often be on the main path. There isn’t a whole lot of map to explore, but you can also find them on side paths. Side paths will be marked on your mini map as a white flag. These can also be just out of reach early on, so you’ll need to come back later when you have more abilities to reach areas where these can be found. These are also rewards in the Nightmare Strands. As long as you are thoroughly searching side areas and completing Nightmare Strands, you should have no issue finding 20 of them.

 Eclipse’s Gift

Collect 70 Halcyon.

Halcyon are a currency that is used for buying skills in the upgrade tree at Primary in the Passage. These are found out on your runs as RNG drops. They are shiny purple orbs. Pick these up when you find them to start working on needing 70. This is a cumulative total that counts all of your runs.

 Carcosan Conqueror

Encounter and defeat 10 Alpha hostiles.

Alpha hostiles are just bigger and stronger enemies. They spawn randomly into combat encounters and will be marked with a red crown on your map. You will also be told when an alpha has spawned during a combat encounter. It will show on screen and a character will mention it right away. They have bigger health bars and an icon above their heads. All you need to do is kill 10 of these across your runs.

 Catch And Release

Use the Shield to absorb 3 Power bars, then defeat a hostile with a Power Weapon.

Before you can earn this, you’re going to have to upgrade your Power to at least 90 via Primary. Once you have reached that, you’ll have three power bars. Then, you will need to absorb blue enemy projectiles with your shield by holding  until all three power bars are full. When they are full, use your power attack (hold down all the way and then press ) to kill an enemy.

 Untouchable

Complete a Biome without taking direct, non-Corruption damage or losing Adrenaline.

For this Trophy, you’ll need to complete one biome by beating it without taking any direct damage. You can take corruption damage, but that’s it. This is a Trophy that is best saved for later when you are fully confident and comfortable with the game and its mechanics. You can also utilize the Damage Enhancement modifier to increase how much damage you do to enemies. With this, they will go down quicker. Use whatever setup you’re best with for this. This can be done on any biome, but there are two that are better suited for this. The first one is the first biome, Shattered Rise. This biome is longer, but when you play through it after having leveled yourself up and unlocked enhancements from Primary’s Armor Matrix, you can really fly through this biome. There are more enemies, but you should be able to kill them almost immediately as they spawn depending on how kitted out you are and what level your weapons are. You can also run past most of them without having to fight them. After completing the biome once, the door to the boss room will be opened so you can just run straight there. There are three phases to the final boss of the biome, but its attacks are very predicable and easy to dodge. Just like with the regular enemies of this biome, you can melt the boss’ health quickly here.

The other option is the third biome, Shattered Descent. This biome is pretty short compared to the rest in the game. The boss at the end only has one health bar, but it is very aggressive and will rush you constantly. When going up against it, make sure to start the fight with a full OverDrive meter and full power weapon rounds. You can attack it as it starts spawning and deal a lot of damage before it charges you. When trying to get away from it, stick to using the grappling hooks on the opposite side of the room from you. This will allow you to get away quickly and give you a bit of distance.

In addition to using whatever modifiers you need, you can also save scum and cheese it a bit. If you quit out during a run, you can back your save up to the cloud, or external drive. From there, you can then quit out and re-download your save if you happen to take damage and try again. You can make these save scum points at any time during the level. Just make sure to turn off your auto sync for save files before doing so. When you load back in to a save, you’ll be missing health. Don’t worry about that. The game won’t count that as it is not direct damage.

 Second Chance

Use Second Chance for the first time.

Second Chance is a skill that is bought from Primary by using Halcyon. Halcyon is the purple currency that is found during runs. It is an RNG drop. Buy skills from Primary to reach the Second Chance skill. Once you buy it, you’ll be revived when you die during a run. This Trophy will pop the first time you die and respawn after buying Second Chance.

 Approach Vector

Dispatch a shielded hostile with a mid-air Melee attack.

Certain enemies in the game will be surrounded by a red shield. In order to break the shields, you need to melee them by pressing . For this Trophy, you need to kill any enemy with a shield while you are in the air. You can get this by jumping before using the melee attack.

 OverDriven

Dispatch 30 hostiles using OverDrive during a single cycle.

OverDrive will become available in the third biome, Shattered Descent. This is an ability that charges up as you fight and kills enemies. When it’s full, you can use it to deal heavy amount of damage. For this Trophy, you’re going to want to start at the first biome and just keep going until this pops. When this is full, use it on groups of enemies to get multiple kills in a single use. You need to get all 30 kills in the same cycle (run), so the counter will be reset if die/return to the Passage. One biome isn’t long enough to get all 30 kills, so as previously mentioned. Start at the first biome and keep going through each one killing enemies with this until the Trophy pops. You can buy nodes from Primary that will allow you to charge OverDrive faster as well.

 Countermand

Stagger 2 hostiles simultaneously with one Parry.

The parry ability will become available in the fourth biome, Blighted Marsh. Once you have it, you can tap just before you are hit by the red enemy projectiles to deflect them back at the enemy who shot them. All you have to do here is parry red projectiles when facing a group of enemies. Make sure two are close together when going for it. I was able to do this during a fight against the first group of multiple enemies almost immediately after getting the parry ability.

 Enforcer

Damage 7 hostiles within 5 seconds with Handcannons.

For this Trophy, you need to damage 7 enemies within 5 seconds. You only need to damage them, not kill them. So make sure to sweep through enemies while spraying shots. You can get most of the enemies out of the way when you aim at the groups of enemies that spawn in the air. They spawn close together, so it makes it very easy to hit. I had the best luck for this by using the Eruptor Handcannon.

 Relentless

Land 50 consecutive shots on hostiles with Rifles.

First, you will need to find and pick up a rifle. Weapon drops are RNG. Once you have one, you will need to land 50 consecutive shots on the same enemy. You cannot miss a single shot. This is something that will need to be done against enemies that have more health as they will need to survive long enough to take all 50 shots. It can get hectic, but try not to move around too much while you’re shooting in order to stay accurate.

 Spread The Cost

Land 7 consecutive Shotgun blasts with 100% pellet accuracy.

Shotguns will become available in the second biome, Ancient Depths. For this Trophy, you’re going to need to shoot an enemy and have the entire blast hit the enemy. You can miss with any of the shot. This can be tricky as shotguns in Saros have a wide spread. So for this, you’re going to want to get up close to the bigger enemies and fire. Don’t try this from distance. The boss, Rhabdom, in the Shattered Descent is a good enemy to attempt this on. As it spawns into the battle, it won’t be moving. So you can get in and fire off several shots from very close before it starts attacking. The alt-fire on the Horde Shotgun with the vertical spread doesn’t have as wide of a spread. It makes the spread vertical, which I think makes this easier. The enemies aren’t that wide, but they are tall enough to eat all of the vertical blast. The vertical spread is effective against the following enemies:

  • Custodian
  • Prime Custodian
  • Sunflayer
  • Devastator
  • Excubitor
  • Warden
  • Confessor

 Vicious Circle

Use Chakrams to damage 4 hostiles within 2 seconds.

You’ll gain access to Chakrams in the sixth biome, Acolyte’s Haven. Once you have one, you’ll want to fire into groups of enemies quickly. You need to only damage, not kill 4 enemies with a Chakram. Any Chakram will work, but the Myraid Chakram is good for this as the blades come back automatically and quickly after hitting enemies. Shooting it into a group will likely hit multiple enemies on the way in and back to you.

 All Shall Bow

Hit 3 hostiles at once with Crossbows.

The Crossbow will become available in the fourth biome, Blighted Marsh. I found that it was easiest to use the alt-fire of the Repeater Crossbow for this Trophy. The alt-fire will split your bolt into multiple homing projectiles. Firing it once will hit several enemies. In order to use the alt-fire, you need to hold down halfway and then fire with . Use this against any group of three or more enemies and you’ll have no issue getting this. I was actually able to get it against three flying enemies that spawned together almost immediately after picking up the crossbow for the first time. You only need to hit the enemies, not kill them.

 Broadside

Defeat 5 hostiles with a single Prominence blast.

Prominence is a power weapon. You fire it by holding down all the way and then press . For this Trophy, you will need to kill 5 enemies at the same time with one shot from Prominence. There are groups of enemies that spawn close together in the air. This can easily be earned against them. Otherwise, you’d need to kites some enemies to get them closer together.

 Atrophy

Damage 5 hostiles simultaneously with Dispiritor projectiles.

Dispiritor is a power weapon. You fire it by holding down all the way and then press . For this Trophy, you only need to damage 5 enemies at the same time with one volley of Dispiritor rounds. There are groups of enemies that spawn close together in the air. This can easily be earned against them. Otherwise, you’d need to kites some enemies to get them closer together.

 Angle Of Attack

Defeat a hostile using a ricochet Nova Lance slug.

The Nova Lance Slug is a power weapon that will become available in the fifth biome, Desecrated Fortress. If you miss hitting an enemy with this power weapon, its projectile will ricochet and can hit other enemies in the area. When you come to a group of enemies, aim this weapon near them, but not at them and then fire so that the ricochet hits and kills them.

 Radiance

Damage 3 hostiles simultaneously using the Illumine.

The Illumine is a power weapon that will become available during the seventh biome, Cathedral. You’ll want to use this against a group of enemies who are close together. This can be made easier by using the Illumine with the Chaining Arc trait. When damaging an enemy, the beam will split off and chain together other enemies. You only need to damage three enemies, not kill them.

 Fatal Triptych

Die 3 times during a single cycle.

This can be earned in a couple of different ways. The first would be to use the Nightmare Gates. Completing a Nightmare Gate will refill your Second Chance skill. So, if you die before entering a Nightmare Gate, that will be one death. Enter the Nightmare Gate and complete it to refill your Second Chance. After that, you will now be able to die 2 more times, which would equal 3. This has to be done on the same run, so do not go back to the Passage between deaths. The other method would be to use the Second Chance Overlord modifier. This will refill your second chances when you beat a boss.

 War Within

Reach maximum Corruption level and survive.

In order to earn this Trophy, you’re going to need to have the majority of your health covered by corruption and beat the final boss of a biome. You only need to win in one biome for this Trophy. Corruption will cover your health bar when you are damaged by the yellow enemy projectiles. You can let them hit you in order to cover your health. You don’t need to do the entire biome for this to count either. I waited until the end of the first biome, Shattered Rise, to allow my health to be covered and then took on the final boss. It’s important to note that you cannot use your power weapon while your health is corrupted. Using your power weapon is what removes the corruption. You need it on you, so don’t use power weapons when going for this.

You can make this easier by attempting this when you have Carcosan Modifiers available. You can increase the damage you do and decrease the damage you take. You can also turn on the Corruption Enhancement trials so that you get more corruption per hit. The Trophy popped after passing the fast travel to the Passage after beating the first boss.

 Never Enough

Collect 20 Halcyon in the Yellow Shore.

The eighth and final biome in the game is the Yellow Shore. Halcyon works the same here as every other biome in the game, except that it is possible for enemies to drop it when they are defeated. Aside from getting it from killing enemies, you’ll find it the same way as in the other biomes. They’ll be found out on your runs as RNG drops. They are shiny purple orbs. Pick these up when you find them to start working on needing 70. This is a cumulative total that counts all of your runs. You need to collect 20 of them from the Yellow Shore.

 Fall From Grace

Use the environment to eliminate a hostile without shooting it.

There are a few things that are needed in order to earn this Trophy. First, you will need the parry ability. Parry will become available during the fourth biome, Blighted Marsh. This will allow you to parry the red enemy projectiles which will send them back at the enemy who shot them. With that done, you will then need to be playing in a biome that has some gaps between platforms or gaps in the area you’re fighting in. These need to be gaps that would damage you if you were to fall into them. These will become more frequent in the last biome, Yellow Shore.

Finally, you’ll need to get some flying or hovering enemy types. Try to kite them so that they are over the gap(s). Then, you need to parry their attack and fire it back at them. If it hits them, there is a chance that it will stagger them and they will fall down into the gap which will kill them. Some of the enemies won’t fall all the way down. They’ll stay airborne while staggered, so you’ll just need to keep trying.

It’s also very important to note that cannot shoot them at all for this. Do not try to weaken them by shooting them first. It will just void the Trophy. They cannot take any weapon damage. You can increase your chance to stagger enemies by buying enhancements from Primary’s Armor Matrix that increase stagger against enemies.

I was able to earn this on the Yellow Shore against the Confessor enemy type. It will shoot a wall of projectiles. Half red and the other half blue. I was on the other side of a gap in the combat area and waited for it to shoot that wall at me. I parried the red projectiles just as it started to cross over the gap. It was hit and fell in. After it shoots that wall attack, it will move toward you by shooting a trail of blue orbs under it as it goes. It can cross gaps with that. That’s your opportunity for this. You’ll just need to time it right.

 Vincible

Complete a Biome without using the Shield.

All you have to do here is beat any biome without using your shield. You need to beat the boss at the end and survive the run. Melee and the shield are tied to the same button, so if you use melee, make sure you do not hold down. Just tap it for melee. You’re going to have to rely on dodging to avoid taking any damage from enemy attacks. This is something to attempt when you are further into the game and are more comfortable with the gameplay.

 Come Back Stronger

Die for the first time.

Dying is a core mechanic of the game. This is a story related Trophy.
