Welcome to the Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot Trophy Guide! This is a pretty straightforward and fairly simple Platinum to earn. Luckily, nothing here is missable. You can clean up anything you miss after completing the story if you choose. Some aspects of the game will not become available until hitting certain points in the story, so most of this list won’t be completed until you’re late in the game or have finished the story anyway.

Helping Hand
Complete a sub story.
See the Trophy "Do-Gooder" for more details.
Do-Gooder
Complete 10 sub stories.
Sub stories are side quests. They are marked by a blue exclamation marks on your radar and map. All you have to do is travel to them and interact with the highlighted NPC. Accept their quest and complete it. Do this 10 times to unlock the Trophy. These can be done as you play through the story or after you complete the game.
A Dark Omen
Defeat your first Villainous party.
See the Trophy "Purging the Plague" for more details.
Evil All Around
Defeat 20 Villainous parties.
See the Trophy "Purging the Plague" for more details.
Purging the Plague
Defeat 30 Villainous parties.
You'll gain access to the Villainous parties late in the Saiyan Saga. They aren't much different than the normal random enemies you encounter when traveling. The enemies will be surrounded in a red aura and all you have to do is defeat them. They will also be marked on your map as a red crown. They're going to be higher level than you, so it is best to wait until later in the game to take them on.
Down with the Demon Realm!
Win the battle against Mira.
Before you can fight Mira, you will have to defeat all of the Villainous parties first. You can check out the Trophy "Purging the Plague" for more details on them. After you've done that, Mira is located on the Land of Kais planet. Mira will be level 100 with a lot of health. So, you're going to need to make sure you are stocked up with plenty of healing items. Senzu Beans are the best for this. They can be acquired at Korin's Tower. It will also help to have full party with you. Eating meals just before the fight will also give you temporary bonuses during the fight. It's also helpful to make a manual save file before the fight just in case you're losing or need more items. Overall, it is not a very difficult fight as long as you are prepared. I was able to get through it playing as Goku with a party of Gohan and Vegeta all in the lower 90s in terms of levels.
The Voice in My Head
Receive a telepathic message from King Kai.
See the Trophy "Who Needs a Phone" for more details.
Who Needs a Phone?
Receive 20 telepathic messages from King Kai.
There's really not a whole lot you can do to earn this Trophy other than explore the areas and collect materials. I found that he would message me as I was collecting Z Orbs when I would travel from mission to mission. Try to pick up as many as you can while you're traveling across the maps and he will pop up with a message somewhat often. You'll know when he messages you because he will pop up on screen and his voice will come through the speaker on the controller.
Wish Maker
Summon Shenron from the Dragon Ball menu to make a wish.
See the Trophy "Shenron's Favorite" for more details.
Getting Greedy
Summon Shenron 5 times from the Dragon Ball menu to make a wish.
See the Trophy "Shenron's Favorite" for more details.
Shenron’s Favorite
Summon Shenron 10 times from the Dragon Ball menu to make a wish.
You'll gain access to the Dragon Balls after the Frieza Saga. The locations of the Balls will be randomized, but you will be able to easily track them as they're locations will be marked on your map. Collect all seven and then press Options and select Dragon Balls from the menu. Here, you can make a wish. The Balls will then be dispersed to world. They also have a cool down time before they can be used again. I found that it was best to use them, complete a mission or two and then track them down again. You'll want to chip away at this as you play through the story. Waiting until you have nothing else to do will turn this Trophy into a grind with the cool down.
Push It to the Limit
Complete 10 challenges at a Training Grounds location with any character.
Training Grounds can be found all over the different areas. They are marked by a green flexing arm. Each character will have some training missions that you can complete at these Grounds. Each mission will have objectives that you need to complete before these will become available. You'll have to hit certain character levels and unlock Super Attacks from the skill trees. As you progress through the game and grow your characters, check in on these Training Grounds and complete them as they pop up.
Tough Enough
Complete a Level 10 challenge in the Training Room.
The Training Room will become available during the Cell Saga and the room itself is located at Capsule Corp. Before you can attempt this Trophy though, you will have to modify the Training room in order to be able to take on a level 10 challenge. You're going to have to modify the Training Room 10 times and it is going to take a lot of money, parts and D Medals. Enter Capsule Corp and turn right to go down a hallway. Turn right into the open door into a blue colored room. Speak the woman in the lab coat to modify the Training Room. Parts can be located by going to the world map, highlighting an area and then press Square. This will show you what parts can be found there. For the money, you can sell things or use the Dragon Balls to wish for some. Some NPCs will also have a thought bubble over their heads describing materials that are nearby. The materials will be highlighted in yellow in the thought bubbles. D Medals will be given to you as a reward for completing main missions. Aside from the main story, D Medals can also be acquired by completing Sub Stories, picked up while traveling the open world and by reading encyclopedia entries. Now, once you've modified the Training Room to 10, select Train and choose level 10. You actually don't have to do all 10 of them, just the 10th challenge. Before you do this, make absolutely sure you're stocked up on plenty of healing items.
Excavator
Destroy a boulder blocking a cave.
See the Trophy "Demolition Artist" for more details.
Demolition Artist
Destroy 10 boulders blocking caves.
As you're traveling the various maps, hold L1 to scan the area. You will eventually scan destructible boulders blocking a cave highlighted in purple. Get up close to the boulder and a prompt to press Circle to destroy the boulder will appear. Some of them will require you to be at a certain level before they can be destroyed.![]()
There’s Nothing like a Home-Cooked Meal!
Make a full-course meal.
See the Trophy "Only the Finest" for more details.
Only the Finest
Make 5 full-course meals.
This Trophy requires you to make five different meals. You can't make the same meal five times. Meals are cooked by Chi-Chi at Goku's house and they will be introduced as you progress through the story. The recipes are acquired by speaking to various NPCs in the different areas. When you're exploring or travelling, be on the lookout for an NPC with a though bubble above his head that says "Recipe" highlighted in yellow. Before you can cook the full-course meal, you'll have to cook the individual ingredients and then you'll be able to cook the full-course meal.
Medal Madness
Collect 10 D Medals.
See the Trophy "Heavy Medal" for more details.
Heavy Medal
Collect 100 D Medals.
You don't really need to do anything other than playing through the story to unlock this Trophy. D Medals will be given to you as a reward for completing main missions. Aside from the main story, D Medals can also be acquired by completing Sub Stories, picked up while traveling the open world and by reading encyclopedia entries.
Newfound Power
Acquire a Super Attack or Mastery in the Super Attack Skill Tree.
See the Trophy "A Super Warrior is Born" for more details.
Highly Skilled
Acquire 50 Super Attacks or Masteries in the Super Attack Skill Tree.
See the Trophy "A Super Warrior is Born" for more details.
A Super Warrior is Born
Acquire 100 Super Attacks or Masteries in the Super Attack Skill Tree.
Super Attacks are acquired by pressing Options and then select Characters. After that, press Triangle to access the skill trees. Everything you unlock here counts toward this Trophy. In order to buy these skills, you'll need to spend Z Orbs. These are the green, blue and red orbs that are scattered through out the areas. You won't have any problems gathering these as they are basically everywhere. They're also given to you by progressing through the story. Some of these skills will require you to unlock them through the Training Grounds, but not many of them. These also count across different characters. It's not 100 for one character.
Not Worth My Time
Get an instant victory on an enemy.
See the Trophy "Can't Touch This" for more details.
Can’t Touch This
Get 50 instant victories on enemies.
Instant victories are earned on the random enemies that are found flying around the areas. You have to press in L3 to speed up and fly through the enemy defeating them before starting the fight. I found it easiest to get spotted by an enemy, stop, line up to them and then wait. Turn and face them and when they are close to you, click L3 and fly right into them. You'll know when an enemy is chasing you when the arrows around the screen turn red. The enemies have to be at least three levels lower than you in order to pull this off.
Let the Building Begin!
Build a machine part.
You won't be able to unlock this until the Cell Saga when Capsule Corp becomes available. Go to Capsule Corp and then speak to Bulma. Select R&D and then build any of the parts. You will need materials and money in order to build them. Parts can be located by going to the world map, highlighting an area and then press Square. This will show you what parts can be found there. For the money, you can sell things or use the Dragon Balls to wish for some.
Get out of My Head and Turn into My Car
Build a hovercar.
See the Trophy "Robot Rider" for more details.
Robot Rider
Build a Bipedal Robo Walker.
You won't be able to unlock this until the Cell Saga when Capsule Corp becomes available. Go to Capsule Corp and then speak to Bulma. Select R&D and then select the Robo Walker. You will have to build the individual parts before the actual Walker can be built. Parts can be located by going to the world map and then pressing Square. This will show you what parts can be found where. For the money, you can sell things or use the Dragon Balls to wish for some. Do the same for the Hovercar. Speak to Bulma and then select Hovercar. You will need to build the individual parts for this as well. If you're low on money and/or parts, make a manual save before building the Walker or car, build one of them and then reload your save.
Tell Me More
Unlock an entry in the Z Encyclopedia.
See the Trophy "Fountain of Knowledge" for more details.
Thirsty for Knowledge
Unlock 200 entries in the Z Encyclopedia.
See the Trophy "Fountain of Knowledge" for more details.
Fountain of Knowledge
Unlock 400 entries in the Z Encyclopedia.
This Trophy is basically unmissable as long you play far enough into the main story. playing through the story will automatically unlock entries in the encyclopedia. There are over 900 of them and playing through the story will unlock more than 400 for you.
Turtle School Trainee
Complete a Turtle School training challenge and report to Master Roshi.
See the Trophy "Turtle School Legend" for more details.
Turtle School Master
Complete 20 Turtle School training challenges and report to Master Roshi.
See the Trophy "Turtle School Legend" for more details.
Turtle School Legend
Complete 50 Turtle School training challenges and report to Master Roshi.
Turtle School challenges can be found by pressing Options and then L1. After you complete a challenge, you'll have to go back to Master Roshi and speak with him. The challenges won't be marked complete until you've spoken to Master Roshi. After speaking to him, he will give you more to complete. This is made a little easier by the fact that you can complete these before getting the challenge. Just keep talking to Master Roshi after you're given challenges and you'll turn in the completed ones. Here's an example: Let's say one of the challenges is to collect 100 Z Orbs. If you've already collected 100, but don't have that challenge when you do it, it will be marked complete when Roshi gives it to you. You can then turn it right back in for the rewards.
The Power of Friendship
Use 10 Super Attack Assists.
Super Attack Assists will become available when you have another party member with you. Your party members will fight in the battles with you. All you have to do is hold R1 and select one of your partner's attacks. After using an attack from a party member, there will be a short cool down before one of their attacks can be used again. 10 of these will come pretty quickly.
Z Combo Zealot
Perform 10 Z Combos.
This Trophy will require you to have one or two characters in your party. Your party members will located in the bottom right corner of the screen. You'll also notice that there is a gauge around the character faces. The gauges are filled up by using team assists in battle. Once both gauges are full you, you can then press L1+R1 to perform a Z Combo.
Flashy Finish
Win a battle with a Super Finish.
There are a few things you will need in order to unlock this Trophy. First, you will need to have unlocked transformations. In a battle, you will need to have a full Tension Gauge. That is the yellow bar next to your character icon. Now, after all that, fight someone and get their health very low. Then with a full Tension Gauge, transform by pressing L2+R2 and whatever face button you have assigned. Finally, use a Super Attack to finish off the enemy. This can be done with Super Saiyan, Kaiokan, Gohan's Power Unleashed and Piccolo's True Namekian Fusion transformations.
