Welcome to the Trophy guide for the new free downloadable content for Ghost of Tsushima! This guide will cover the new Legends DLC and New Game+. The list for Legends is going to be a grind. Nothing is missable here, everything is completion based. Reaching level 20 with each of the four roles will take you the longest. It is going to be very time consuming. This is a multiplayer expansion, but the story missions can be played solo. It’ll be harder, but it is possible.
As for the New Game+ Trophy set, there are only two and they are pretty straight forward. Complete the game in NG+ and buy something from a new vendor. If you’re looking to knock NG+ out as quick as possible, you can actually play it on easy. The game will ask you which difficulty you want to play on when starting a new game on +.
*This is still a work in progress, but here’s the gist of it:
Legends:
Ultimate Warrior
Reach rank 20 with all roles.
Outside of the unavailable raid, this Trophy is likely going to take the longest. There are four different roles. Samurai, Hunter, Ronin and Assassin. You need to reach level 20 with each one. It is going to be quite the grind. You’ll need to replay the survival waves or story missions over and over. As you rank up your gear, you’ll be able to replay the story missions on higher difficulties. They are broken down as Bronze, Silver and Gold. Each tier offers more difficult variations of each level and obviously, will reward more experience.
Ultimate Truth
Complete the final wave in a gold Survival
Until the raid is live, this will be the hardest Trophy to earn. For starters, you won’t be able to select gold difficulty until you’ve leveled up your character and gear. That will take awhile to reach. There are 25 waves that you’ll need to survive.
- First, you’ll need to make sure your Ki is around 80. You will hit this as you work toward reaching level 20.
- Now, in the actual game, pay attention to what outposts are being attacked. It won’t take long to lose them. So, don’t stay in one place for too long. Keep moving from outpost to outpost.
- Save the healing barrels for when you and your team absolutely need them. Try to make them last as long as you can.
- Make use of the gift abilities that can be bought between waves, but try not to spend all your money on them early. Try to save up as much as you can so you buy them in the later more difficult rounds.
- Revive a teammate is quickly as you can.
- Always keep an eye out for consumable ammo that can be found across the battlefield.
- This is an obvious one, but make use of your abilities.
- The Ronin class is very helpful here. Their healing abilities can be difference makers.
Promising Start
Complete a Legends Mode story
See the Trophy “True Understanding” for more details.
True Understanding
Complete all Legends Mode stories
There are nine stories to complete and they can be completed on any difficulty setting. They are found under the “Story” tab of “Play Now.” All you have to do is play and finish each of them. They are not all unlocked from the beginning. Finishing one will unlock the next. The stories themselves do not take that long to complete. They can be finished in about 15 to 20 minutes. This is basically unmissable as you’re going to be playing through these missions quite a few times for level grinding.
One last little note for this Trophy. All nine of the stories have to be beaten on the same difficulty in order to pop this. Example: You can’t play four on bronze and the last 5 on silver when trying to get this.
Self-Actualized
Reach rank 20 in any role
See the Trophy “Ultimate Warrior” for more details.
New Game+
Grand Opening
Purchase something from Baku the voiceless from New Game+
You can earn this Trophy as soon as you begin your New Game+ run. As the game opens, Jin will be riding his horse through a field. Continue going straight to where the field opens up to a lake. Baku will be in Lake Izuhara. He will actually have a golden quest marker, so you really shouldn’t miss him. The only currency he accepts are Ghost Flowers. You will begin the game with only five Ghost Flowers. Luckily, he sells Charms and Hats for five Ghost Flowers. Buy anything from him no matter the cost and the Trophy is yours.
Just a quick note here. I have not been able to find him anywhere else later in the game, so you may want to buy something immediately just in case he is unavailable in later acts.
A Legend for All Time
Complete Jin’s Journey in New Game+
Simply finish the game in New Game+. NG+ is a separate option in the main menu and you will have had to have beaten the game once already before you can access this. You know the NG+ drill by now. All of your upgrades and unlocks from your last play-through will be carried over to this. This includes any techniques, gear and vanity items that you unlocked on your previous play-through will be carried over and available to you right from the start. The game will changes a few things up to make a bit of a challenge, but you’re still able to play on any difficulty setting you want. Yes, that includes easy if you’re just looking to quickly knock this out.
Thank you for this guide, sir! I couldn’t find any guide for Ghost of Tsushima: Legends except for this one. I just started playing Ghost of Tsushima: Legends last night so this is helpful. Thank you!
