Welcome to the Forspoken Trophy and Achievement guide!
4/10 Estimated Difficulty
45 – 60 Estimated Hours to completion
1 Minimum Playthrough
0 Missable
First thing you’re going to want to do here is complete all 12 chapters of the main story. There’s a lot to do, but you won’t be able to complete the majority of it until after you’ve completed the story. The reason for that is abilities. You’ll be getting new abilities all the way up until chapter 11. The full map wont be explorable until you have all of those abilities. So play through the story first and knock that out.
After you’ve completed the story, then you can start focusing on everything else here.
None of the Trophies/Achievements are missable. So you can play through without that worry hanging over you. There is nothing tied to difficulty either. Everything here can be done on whatever difficulty you’d like.
Take a Detour
The side quests in Forespoken are called Detours. There are some that will only be available during the story. If you don’t do them during their respective chapters, they’ll be missed. Don’t worry, that will not lock you out of any Trophies/Achievements. All of the detours that are tied to Trophies/Achievements will actually respawn after you’ve completed the story. Something you don’t see too often when it comes RPG Trophy/Achievement lists.
There are not that many detours during the story, but you can get list of what and when under the “Archivist” Trophy/Achievement.
Collectathon
A big part of this Trophy/Achievement list is tied to completing locations found out in the open world. You’re going to be combing over this map completing a lot of the side content here. None of those are missable and they are not hard to find.
Everything that you need to track down will be automatically added to your map. In order to do that, you need to defog the map. You’ll defog parts as you traverse across the map, but you can clear big chunks of the map by interacting with Belfries. These are big towers that you can stand under. While standing under them, you can press and it’ll highlight the surrounding area, defog a chunk of the map and add more icons to your map. The belfries are marked on your map as
icons. Activate these whenever you come across them to make things easier later. They also act as fast travel points.
Misc.
As you’re playing through the story, you’re going to want to chip away at Spellcraft Challenges. There are 105 of them to complete, so get started on those early and do them often. More info on those can be found under “Above and Beyond.”
You’ll also want to collect as much mana as you can while traversing the map. You’re going to need 3,200 mana in order to unlock every spell. So collect that whenever you see it.

All you have to do is hold while running to perform magic parkour. Hold
and run for twenty seconds. You can run straight or in a circle. Just keep running until this pops.
Endless Runner
Travel a total of 100 km (62 mi) using magic parkour.
This is something that will pop naturally over time as you play through the game. The majority of your travel is going to be via magic parkour, so you don’t have to do anything extra here. Whenever you’re traveling from point to another, make sure to hold down.
You can track your progress via the Trophy tracker.
I Can Fly!
Use Float to stay airborne for ten seconds.
There are a few steps required to earn this Trophy/Achievement.
You will not be able to earn this until after you have completed the main story.
Once you’ve completed the story, you can acquire the Float ability. Go into your Magic Trees and go to Prav’s Magic. In the bottom right side will be a spell blacked out with a ?. Highlight it and you’ll see that it’s the Float spell. Press the Touchpad while on that skill and it’ll mark its location on your map for you.
It is found at the Lilac Fount in Inner Visoria. Go to the Fount and acquire the Float spell.
After that, fast travel to a Refuge and interact with the Spell challenge bookshelf. Accept the challenge associated with Float. All you have to do to complete the challenge is float for six seconds. Jump off a cliff or tall building and hold to float. Once you’ve floated for six seconds. you will have completed the challenge.

While running, hold down to use magic parkour. Run toward an enemy and you’ll automatically jump over them. Repeat that 10 times for this Trophy/Achievement.
You can actually jump over the same enemy 10 times to quickly to earn this.
Tit for Tat
Perform ten precision counters.
Precision counters are available for a very short amount of time after taking damage. As soon as you get hit, there will be a shield around you with a prompt. When you press it, you counter the enemy that just attacked you.
This is best done against the Break Zombies. These are the infected human types enemies out in the open world.
Stand there and let one hit you. As soon as you get hit, press to counter it.
You will know you did this correctly as Frey will throw the enemy back and then shoot a projectile at them. If she doesn’t shoot the projectile, it doesn’t count.
You will not be able to get this if you have Auto Dodge turned on. You will need to turn that off and then try this.
No Mercy
Perform thirty Killer Blows.
A Killer Blow is performed by dealing a lot of damage to an enemy and stunning them. While they’re stunned, there will be an icon above them.
Run up to them and press to preform the Killer Blow.

Finish three or more enemies with a single blast of Surge Magic.
Surge Magic is an attack you can use by pressing +
.
You will need to have the attack fully charged in order to use it. It’s charged by attacking and killing enemies.
This is best done against the weaker type enemies found out in the open world. Run around at least three enemies and group them up. Perform the attack when they are close to each other and kill three at once with the attack to pop this.
Help Me Out Here
Use the Disperse spell three times in a single battle.
The Disperse spell will be unlocked by default. In order to use it, you’re going to need to hold and then select Disperse. Once you have it selected, press
to use it.
It will need to recharge after using it, so it’ll take a bit to use three times in the same combat encounter.
This is best done while fighting a boss. They’ll have more health and there will be plenty of time for the attack to recharge. Remember, this has to be done three times in the same combat encounter.
Wildfire
Defeat an enemy bound by the Tangled status effect with Sila’s magic.
You will need to have completed Chapter 5 before you can earn this. Chapter 5 is when you’ll receive Sila’s spell tree. Sila’s spell tree is the one centered around fire attacks with the sword.
First, select the Bind attack from Frey’s Magic.
Then, get into combat and use the Bind attack with . While the enemies are bound by the attack, switch to Sila’s Magic with
or
. Use the sword to kill the enemy that is bound.
Shocker
Electrocute three enemies at once.
You won’t be able to earn this until you have completed Chapter 11 of the main story. You’ll receive Ola’s magic at the end of the chapter.
Once you have Ola’s magic, you will need to charge up the Surge attack, Tempest.
When it’s charged, get into combat against at least three enemies. Parkour around them and group them up until they are close together. When they are, press +
.
The attack will electrocute a small radius around. As long as at least three enemies are within the radius, they will all be electrocuted and this will pop.
From Every Angle
Use all four types of Tanta magic in a single battle.
You won’t be able to earn this until after you have completed Chapter 11 of the main story.
There are four different types of Tanta magic:
- Frey’s Magic
- Sila’s Magic
- Prav’s Magic
- Ola’s Magic
You will be given new Tanta magic after defeating the main bosses of the story. Chapter 11 is when you’ll acquire the fourth and final Tanta magic.
With all four types, all you have to do is use one spell from each of the magic trees in the same combat encounter.
You can switch to magic types with or
.
So, it only needs to be four attacks total. Use an attack, switch to the next magic type and then repeat that until you’ve one attack from each of the four types.
You can easily get this done on the final boss in Chapter 12 right after getting the fourth magic type.

See the “Through the Eyes of Another: Visionary” Trophy/Achievement below for more details.
Through the Eyes of Another: Seer
Complete flashback challenges at ten Monuments to Wisdom.
See the “Through the Eyes of Another: Visionary” Trophy/Achievement below for more details.
Through the Eyes of Another: Visionary
Complete all the flashback challenges at the Monuments to Wisdom.
Flashback challenges are a location type found in the open world. There are 20 total.
These will task you with beating enemies in under a certain time limit. The score you get at the end does not matter for Trophy/Achievement purposes. All that matters is you complete the challenge.
Their locations will be automatically added to your map as you progress through the story and defog the map.
These are marked with a icon.
Cat Person
Befriend all the Tantas’ familiars.
Tanta familiars are cats that you can befriend. These are a location type found in the open world. There are 20 total.
For these, you need to sneak up on a cat and then pet it. Crouch using when you get near them. IF they look up at you with a ! above their heads, stop walking and wait for them to lay back down. Once they do, get closer. When you get close enough, an
prompt will appear. Press it to pet the cat and complete the challenge.
Their locations will be automatically added to your map as you progress through the story and defog the map.
These are marked with a icon.
Happy Snapper
Show pictures taken at all the photo spots to the children.
This will be a detour that is automatically started during Chapter 4 of the main story.
Photo spots are locations on the map that require you to take pictures of the surrounding area.. There are 50 photo spots.
You will need to aim the camera until the frame and square in the middle are yellow. Take the picture once they are.
Their locations will be automatically added to your map as you progress through the story and defog the map.
These are marked with a icon.
Above and Beyond
Upgrade all your spells.
Each spell has a challenge attached to them that you need to complete in order to upgrade them. It’s one challenge per spell, so that’s 105 challenges that you need to complete. Start working on these as soon as you gain access to the bookshelves in the Refuge.
Each of the Refuges will have a bookshelf next to the beds you can rest in. Interact with the bookshelves and you can select which challenges you want to activate. You can only have three challenges active at a time.
When you complete one, you need to go into magic and hold on the spell with the completed challenge to upgrade it. Once the spell has been upgraded, replace the completed challenge with a new one and keep knocking them out.
These challenges are pretty straight forward. They won’t take you too long individually, there’s just a lot of them.
You can farm enemies while working on these. After completing an encounter, fast travel away and the group of enemies will respawn.
As mentioned above, these challenges are very straight forward. However, there is one that is worded incorrectly. Tempest Lv. 2 is the challenge in question. You need to kill the last enemy in a battle while at low health. The in game description does not state the part about your health. Save a single enemy and let yourself take damage until your health is very low. Then use Tempest to kill the enemy and complete the challenge.
Abominizer
Defeat all four abominations.
Abominations are bosses that are found out in the open world.
You will need to go to their locations and kill them. As the Trophy/Achievement description states, there are only four of them, but they are pretty strong. This is best saved for the post game when you’ve upgraded your gear and spells.
Their locations will be automatically added to your map as you progress through the story and defog the map.
- Amphicynodon – Vulnerable to Sila’s Magice
- Gigas – Vulnerable to Olas’ Magic
- Deinosuchus – Vulnerable to Frey’s Magic
- Apsaravis – Vulnerable to Prav’s Magic
Getting to this location is a bit of a trek. You’re going to want to go to the Depths of Corruption: Junoon. You can reach it by going through The Wolfwoods. Upon beating the story, you will have visited the Junoon Castle Town Refuge. Fast travel there and make your way north to the Depths of Corruption.
Go through the depths and you’ll be in front of a big lake. Glide on the water to the eastern most side of the lake and climb the big stone pillars. There will be a treasure chest on top of one of them. Get to that chest and then use the L3 + R3 ability to shoot over to the other side which is Farcoast Terrace.
From there, it’s pretty much a linear path. Traverse the landscape making your way to Nowhere. You’re going to be under attack during a Breakstorm. It can get pretty hectic, but just keep jumping from ledge to ledge making your way through the canyon.
Archivist
Unlock 80% of the Archive.
The Archive will be automatically filled up as you play through the game and work on other Trophies/Achievements.
Every time you kill a new enemy, pick up a new resources, pick up a new piece of equipment, complete a location, complete a detour and complete a story objective, you’ll receive a new entry in your archive.
There are 540 entries, but only 80% of them are needed for this Trophy/Achievement. That means you will need to fill 464 entries.
A majority of these will be filled by completing the story and detours. The rest will be filled in as you complete the rest of the open world content.
So, you don’t really need to put too much attention into this. It’ll automatically fill itself up as you do everything else in the game.
There are missable detours during the story. If you don’t do them, it’s okay. It wont stop you from completing this Trophy/Achievement. If you do do them, it’ll give you an extra push toward this completion.
Detours during the story:
- A Guided Tour – Chapter 4
- Feeding the Sheep – Chapter 4
- Robian’s Treasured Memories – Chapter 4
- Dancing in Cipal – Chapter 6
- Sila’s Pact – Chapter 7
- Helping the Broken – Chapter 7
Barely There
Hide for ten whole seconds—so long that people will forget you were there.
In order to earn this, you will need to have first beaten the main story.
You will also need to visit the Juniper Fount in The Moulderings. Go into your Magic Trees and go to Olas’ Magic. In the middle left side will be a spell blacked out with a ?. Highlight it and you’ll see that it’s the Suppression spell. Press the Touchpad while on that skill and it’ll mark its location on your map for you.
Go to the Juniper Fount and jump in to collect the Spell.
Then, equip it. Get into a combat encounter and activate the spell. Once activated, don’t move. You’ll turn invisible. Just keep standing there and don’t move until the Trophy/Achievement pops.
You may want to do this against a low number of enemies. The fewer amount of enemies, the better. The more enemies there are, the higher the chances one of them will hit you.
Thankfully this only requires one play through and nothing is missable, the trophy list seems straightforward.
