Saros has been updated with a new photo mode and with this update, comes new Trophies to earn! There are nine new Trophies and each of them are tied to photo mode. You will need to be taking pictures of certain locations within each of the biomes. If you’ve already beaten the game, you can hop in to any of the biomes and grab these quick photo opportunities. You actually don’t even need to take a picture. You can just look at the required objects in photo mode and the Trophy will pop. If the Trophies don’t pop while looking at the objects, just zoom in closer on them and it should pop.
As you make your way through each of the biomes for the required photos, make sure to keep an eye out for any alpha enemies. You will need to take a photo of five different alpha enemies. They will be marked as a red crown icon on your mini map. When you find one, enter photo mode and zoom in on it. You can check the Trophy tracker to see if it was registered.
Carcosan Surveyor: Locked and Forgotten
Frame the entrance of the first Overlord lair using Photo Mode.
This is earned in Shattered Rise. Go to the big round doorway that leads to the first boss. Take a picture of that round doorway.
Carcosan Surveyor: Buried Deep
Frame an active underground mining operation using Photo Mode.
This is earned in Ancient Depths. After interacting with the sun dial, you’ll need to take left and right story paths from the sun dial room. The mining equipment was down the left path for me. You’ll eventually come to a room where there is a big circular drill like machine slowing rotating. There are two blades rotating that you need to jump over in order to progress with the biome. That big rotating blade is what you need to take a picture of.
Carcosan Surveyor: Menacing Threshold
Frame the Nightmare Gate entrance, while descending towards the Marsh, using Photo Mode.
This is earned in Shattered Descent. For this, You’ll need to take a picture of the nightmare gate in the biome while looking at it from above it. Just before you reach it, you’ll be a few ledges up above it. You need to take the pic before dropping down to its level.
Carcosan Surveyor: Ascension Askew
Frame the slanted elevator device using Photo Mode.
This is earned in Blighted Marsh. You’ll need to take a picture of the elevator that takes you up to the boss. You do not need to activate the elevator for this to pop. You can just take a pic of it as soon as you reach it.
Carcosan Surveyor: Hollowed Foundations
Frame the highest tower interior using Photo Mode.
This is earned in Desecrated Fortress. This will be toward the very end of the biome. You’ll come to a part where you have to ride a big circular platform up to another area just before the boss fight. When you get to the top of the elevator ride, this will be straight in front of you in the distance. There is a pulsing light coming out of what looks like tentacles.
Carcosan Surveyor: Lighting the Path
Frame the beacon of the giant communication device using Photo Mode.
This is earned in Acolyte’s Haven. This is found near the very end of the biome. As part of the story, you’ll need to make your way up and into a big statue that you can see in the distance. Once inside, you’ll need to take a photo of the the machine you need to interact with in order to advance the story. If you’ve already done that part of the story, you need to come back here. Do not go to the boss arena. Instead, continue following the blue flag objectives and they will lead you into the statue. If you trigger the boss fight, you’ll need to try again.
Carcosan Surveyor: Ringing a Bell
Frame the central tuning fork device using Photo Mode.
This is earned in Cathedral. You’ll need to take a photo of the third tuning fork. This will only spawn after you have destroyed the first two tuning forks. It will spawn in the central area between the first two forks.
Carcosan Surveyor: Gaze of Corruption
Frame the throne of Carcosa using Photo Mode.
This is earned in the Yellow Shore. You’ll need to take a photo of the throne out in the water right before the final boss fight.
Carcosan Surveyor: Thorough Examination
Encounter and close-up frame 5 different Alpha hostiles using Photo Mode.
Alpha enemies are enemies that are bigger and have more health than normal enemies. They will be marked as a red crown icon on your mini map. Their spawns are random. When you find one, enter photo mode and zoom in on it. You can check the Trophy tracker to see if it was registered. You’ll need to do this five different alphas.
