Metal Gear Solid 4 Collectible Guide (Master Collection Vol. 2)

Welcome to our Metal Gear Solid 4 Collectible Guide!

This collectible guide will walk you through the following:

  • Weapons
  • Dolls
  • iPod Tracks
  • Cutscene Flashbacks
  • FaceCamos
  • Model Posters
  • Shadow Moses Ghosts
  • Miscellaneous Chapter Specific Trophies

For the Model Posters, you need to stare at them until you hear Snake say, “Akina.” If you can’t get him to say it, use the Solid Eye and look at them through the SE Mode (first person view). You can zoom in and out to try and register the poster.

The Dolls are earned by beating the bosses non-lethally. After their first phase, there will be a beauty phase where you will need to find the doll in order to collect it.

There are more than 5 ghosts in Shadow Moses, but only 5 are needed for the trophy. So the first 5 will be listed in the guide below. The ghost will flash and appear in your picture as soon as you take it as long as you were aiming in the correct location.

The cutscene flashbacks are going to force you to watch just about every cutscene in the game. There are a lot. But you should not skip any of them until you have the trophy for viewing them all. Flashbacks are marked by an X prompt in the top right corner of the screen. There are two that are hidden, but they will be pointed out in the guide below. When you see the prompt, just keep tapping X until the flashback stops. You want to make sure to see each one and they will reward you with Drebin Points.

The guide below will be broken down by each of the five acts in the game.

iPod Track – Show Time

iPod Track – MGS4 Love Theme (Action Version)

iPod Track – MPO+ Theme

iPod Track – Destiny’s Call – Break for the Fortress

In order to obtain the previous four iPod Tracks, you’re going to need to give healing items to the militia members. You can do so by equipping the item, approaching the militia NPC and then press to hand it over. This is can be earned by helping the militia beat the PMC soldiers in the first battle between them you come to. You’ll need to tranq/kill the PMC soldiers and destroy the two APCs. When the militia start to celebrate, start giving them healing items and they’ll give you the songs. The songs are random, so just keep handing out the items until you get the songs. You can also get the songs from different militia members. I got them from four different NPCs. If one stops giving you items, move on to a different militia member. These can also be obtained in Act 2 from the rebels if you don’t get them here.

Weapon – GSR

From the room with the chickens, you’ll go down a hallway that leads to another room with wounded militia members. Before entering that room, look to your left to see a small side room. Go in there to find dead PMC soldiers. There will be weapons on the ground. One of them is the GSR.
