Welcome to the Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon Classic Edition Trophy & Achievement guide! The 2013 80’s themed Far Cry spinoff has been re-released for modern gaming hardware. The Trophy/Achievement list has not changed and is still the same one from the original game in 2013. For PlayStation users, there is unfortunately no Platinum Trophy to be earned here.
Despite the different aesthetic, Blood Dragon very much follows the traditional Far Cry formula.
This list is mostly completion based with a few miscellaneous sprinkled in. Everything can be completed in a single playthrough and that should take no more than 10 hours. The main story is pretty short, so you’re looking at a very quick 100% here. There are a few collectible related Trophies/Achievements, but there are not that many collectibles to find and there are maps that will make them very easy to find.
Unfortunately, there is one missable. “The Only True Stopper” is the lone missable. Everything else can be earned during or after the main story.
Missable
As previously mentioned, there is only one missable Trophy/Achievement. “The Only True Stopper” will require you to get a headshot kill on each type of enemy. The reason this is missable is because there are enemy types that on appear in the final missions of the main story. Keep that in mind and aim for the head when playing through the game. You can’t keep track of the kills in game, but the game will tell you when you get a headshot as it will show up on screen in the top left corner of the screen. Pick your shots and aim carefully at the head.
Welcome to the party, pal

This is an unmissable story related Trophy/Achievement.
One Small Step
Finished First Garrison
This is an unmissable story related Trophy/Achievement.
See “Way to Go, Garri-Son” below for more details.
Way to Go, Garri-Son
Finish all the Garrisons
Garrisons act as outposts from the other Far Cry games. There are 13 Garrisons that need to be liberated and you will do one of them as part of the story. They will be marked on your map as red icons almost immediately.
All you need to do is kill all of the enemies in the Garrison in order to capture. You can go about this in any way you see fit.
There are alarms in the Garrisons that will be tripped by enemies pretty quickly if you’re spotted. You can disable these stealthily if you like but if not, the enemies will call in reinforcements. Speaking of stealth, you’ll be rewarded with more CP for completing Garrisons in stealth opposed to guns blazing.
Kill Them All
Finish all the Predator’s Path
There are eight Predator’s Path missions to complete and they are all found at Garrisons after you’ve liberated them. You will need to interact with a computer console in the liberated Garrisons to begin them.
These are a type of side mission that will have you hunting down an animal or enemy target and killing it with a specified weapon.
Aside from getting the Trophy/Achievement, you will need to complete all of these in order to unlock all of the weapon upgrades as well.
End Game
Finished Final Showdown
This is an unmissable story related Trophy/Achievement.
Nice Like Jesus
Finish all the Hostages Situations
There are eight Hostage Situations to complete and they are all found at Garrisons after you’ve liberated them. You will need to interact with a computer console in the liberated Garrisons to begin them.
These are a type of side mission that will have you rescuing scientists from groups of enemies. If you’re spotted by the enemies they will begin firing on the scientist. The mission will fail if the scientist is killed. Fortunately, the mission can be replayed if you fail it.
Aside from getting the Trophy/Achievement, you will need to complete all of these in order to unlock all of the weapon upgrades as well.
Murder Nature
Kill all the Animal Types
There are 12 different animals to kill. Most of them will be automatically marked on your map, but not all of them. You’ll kill most of them while knocking out the Predator’s Paths side missions.
- Black & White Tiger – Any tiger will count.
- Blood Dragon – These are everywhere, but you’ll run into them during the main story.
- Boar
- Cyber-Panther
- Cyber-Shark
- Devil Goat
- Mutant Buffalo
- Mutated Cassoway
- Mutated Turtle – These will be killed as a Predator’s Path mission.
- Neon Snake – Found randomly in the open world. You’ll come across these while running around the map
- Robo-Croc
- Robo-Dog – Occasionally found with enemies.
Set Them Free
Destroy 5 Braincages
Braincages are cages that will be on some of the Blood Dragon’s heads. They will be very noticeable.
You will be introduced to these Blood Dragons during the later stages of the main story. After that, they will be randomly found on Blood Dragons out in the open world.
Focus your fire on these cages when you come across them. Make sure to destroy them before killing the Blood Dragon.
Just the Tip
Kill a Dragon with the Bow
The bow will not do that much damage to the Blood Dragons. So, you’re going to want to damage the dragon with other stronger weapons and whittle the health bar down.
When the health bar is very low, you can pull out the bow and use it to get the final shot and finish it off.
Blood Dragon Down
Kill Your First Dragon
See “Dragon Slayer” below for more details.
Dragon Slayer
Kill 25 Dragons
You’ll be introduced to the Blood Dragons early on in the main story. You’ll encounter them in story missions and out in the open world. All you have to do is kill them.
They can take a lot of damage, but there is a glowing weak point underneath them on their stomachs that you can try to target.
You can chip away this over the course of your playthrough if you’d like, but this will be made significantly easier after beating the main story. You’ll be given a very powerful weapon called the KillStar. This will make very quick work of the Blood Dragons,

You don’t have to worry about this as it will come naturally as you complete everything else in the game while working toward 100%.
Running man
After saving Darling, enter Combat Mode with a Dragon and Return to Stealth
You’ll be able to earn this after you’ve liberated your first Garrison as part of the story.
Once you’ve done that, find any Blood Dragon and shoot at it to get its attention on you. Once it’s red, run away and break its line of sight on you. Hide behind anything you can find. All you have to do after that is wait it out. It’ll walk around looking for you and will eventually give up which will turn it back to green.

The attachments can be purchased from vending machine found at liberated Garrisons and in some story missions.
If you still need money after completing everything else, you can reset the Garrisons and capture them again for more money. You can also run across the map using Takedowns from behind on enemies. Takedowns will pay out per kill.

MISSABLE
This Trophy/Achievement is missable because there are enemies that only appear in the 5th, 6th, and 7th main story missions. After you complete these missions the enemy types will not spawn in the open world.
The easiest way about earning this is to always aim for the head during main and side missions. You’ll know you successfully got a head shot as you’ll be rewarded with extra CP and it will say “Headshot” in the top left corner.
Most of the enemies will look the same, but they are differentiated by the weapons they are using. There are also elite versions of the enemy types. These are more easily spotted as they will have an orange/gold hue opposed to the red hue.
