Atomic Heart Trophy & Achievement Guide

Atomic Heart Trophy Achievement Guide

Welcome to the Atomic Heart Trophy & Achievement guide! At the time of launch, this Trophy/Achievement list was a buggy mess. This has since been fixed and everything appears to finally be working correctly.

8/10 Estimated Difficulty Legit – 5/10 With Armageddon Exploit
25-30 Estimated Hours to completion
1 Minimum Play-through – 1 Playthrough is possible as Armageddon difficulty is unlocked from the start. OR there is an exploit that can be used.
7 Missable

You do need to beat the game on the hardest difficulty, but “Armageddon” is unlocked from the start. The description says “Hardcore” difficulty, but there is no Hardcore difficulty. It is referring to Armageddon.

Now that the game has been patched and is working correctly, the recommended path is to play through the game picking up all of the collectibles, looting as much as you can and earning the miscellaneous Trophies/Achievements. It could all be done on an Armageddon play-through or on a lower difficulty play-through saving Armageddon for last. It’s up to you how you approach it difficulty wise. As previously mentioned above, there is an exploit that can be used for Armageddon difficulty. So if you’re planning on using that, you can get everything done on a single play-through.

One thing to be aware of as you play is to scan enemies as you encounter them. There are many different variations of the enemy types. Scan an enemy (or enemies if there are multiple variations) each time you come to a combat encounter. This includes the bosses as well.

Missables

There are quite a few missables. “Strike” and “Chop Chop Chop” require you to kill the bosses Hedgie and Belyash in certain ways. You will only fight them once. The game does keep multiple saves, so it is possible to reload an earlier save to try again if you happen to miss one of those.

How Can I Help You” takes place in the very beginning of the game. If you do not interact with the phone booth at the beginning, you will need to start over.

There is a limited free roam after beating the game. After the credits select, “Return to Facility 3826.” This will allow you to return to only the open world section of the game as well as the Testing Grounds.

Apple Pie,” “The Necromancer” and “Burning Ears” are all collectible based and they can be missed as well. The mission locations of Vavilov, Forester Village, VDNH, Theater and Pavlov are inaccessible once you complete them. So, if you don’t get all of the collectibles in those locations, you will need to another play-through to get them all. “Apple Pie” specifically takes place in a single location, Limbo.

Armageddon Exploit

There is an exploit that can be used to earn the “Atomic Heart” Trophy/Achievement without playing the game from start to finish on Armageddon difficulty. This is confirmed to still be working AFTER the April 5th patch.

  • Play through the game on any difficulty.
  • Make a save right before fighting the Twins at the end of the game.
  • Load that save and switch the difficulty to Armageddon.
  • Save the game and quit to the main menu.
  • Load the new Armageddon save you just created.
  • Beat the Twins and the Trophy/Achievement will pop during the following cutscene.

** UPDATE – As of April 5, 2023, the game has been patched. Trophies/Achievements appear to be working correctly, but it is going to require a new play-through. You will need to redo the Trophy/Achievement requirements on a new play-through in order to get them to unlock

It is also possible that some of the bugged Trophies/Achievements will auto-pop if you start a new game. **

The Motherland Does Not Forget its Heroes

Unlock all trophies

Strike

Kill Hedgie without making a single shot / destroy all statues

MISSABLE

There are two aspects to this Trophy/Achievement that you need to be aware of.

First, you cannot use any guns. Do not fire a single shot from any of your guns. If you need, you can deposit your guns into storage as there is a NORA vending machine in the boss fight area.

Second, you will need to make sure all of the statues are destroyed. There are five statues and they will be underground. There are big circular areas in the boss fight area with terminals that come up out of the ground.

atomic heart trophy achievement guide

The statues will come up out of the ground when you interact with these terminals. The statue will remain up for a few seconds before it goes back underground, so you’ll need to time it right. You need to time it so that Hedgie will roll toward you and hit the statue which will destroy it and stun Hedgie. Hedgie will take damage when it hits the statues. So, if you do too much damage, Hedgie will die before you can destroy all five of the statues.

The terminals will not come up right away, so you’re going to need to dodge Hedgie’s attacks until the terminals appear.

So, call up each statue and let Hedgie roll into each one. Once all five have been destroyed, finish off Hedgie with a melee weapon if the fifth statue didn’t kill it.

While Hedgie is stunned, you can use a melee weapon to attack the glowing orange parts which will inflict damage.

atomic heart trophy achievement guide

Also, do not forget to scan Hedgie during the fight as it is needed for the “Scanner” Trophy/Achievement.

 Medium Rare

Kill Belyash

This is an unmissable story related Trophy/Achievement.

See “Chop Chop Chop” below for more details on how to beat Belyash in a specific way that is needed for the Trophy/Achievement.

 Make It Go Round

Kill Hedgie

This is an unmissable story related Trophy/Achievement.

See “Strike” above for more details on how to beat Hedgie in a specific way that is needed for the Trophy/Achievement.

 Plyusch Rush

Kill Plyusch

This is an unmissable story related Trophy/Achievement.

Plyusch is resistant to Gunfire and Freezing. It is vulnerable to Fire, Explosives and Telekinesis.

Because it is resistant to Gunfire, you’re going to want to use a melee weapon against it.

It can move very quickly so you’re going to be dodging a lot during this fight. You can keep an empty incubation chamber between you and Plyusch. It’ll help you avoid some of its attacks.

atomic heart trophy achievement guide

Also, do not forget to scan Plyusch during the fight as it is needed for the “Scanner” Trophy/Achievement.

 Show’s Over

Kill Natasha

This is an unmissable story related Trophy/Achievement.

Natasha is resistant to Gunfire, Telekinesis and Electricity. It is vulnerable to Explosives.

During the fight, Natasha will jump up in the air and drop explosives down at you. These explosives will be roll toward you. You can use telekinesis to pick up and throw the explosives at Natasha which will deal a big chunk of damage.

Try to stay away from the edges of the battle area. There are objects on a track that circle the stage. They’ll deal damage to you if you get too close to them.

Also, do not forget to scan Natasha during the fight as it is needed for the “Scanner” Trophy/Achievement.

 Dew Point

Kill Dewdrop

This is an unmissable story related Trophy/Achievement.

Dewdrop is resistant to all of your elemental weapons/abilities, energy weapons and explosives. It’s not vulnerable to any damage type either. Despite that, it does have a weak point. It’s eye. It’ll open its eye to attack or when it is stunned. Focus your attacks on the eye to maximize damage.

Also, do not forget to scan Dewdrop during the fight as it is needed for the “Scanner” Trophy/Achievement.

 Murderous Beauty

Kill Twins

MISSABLE

There are two options toward the end of the game.

You’ll be in a conversation with Granny Zina and you’ll be presented with two options. In order to earn this Trophy/Achievement, you’ll need to select Option 2.

If you select Option1, the game will end and you will miss out on the fight against the Twins. If you happen to select Option 1, you can reload a previous save and pick Option 2.

atomic heart trophy achievement guide

You’ll fight one of the Twins alone first. This will give you a heads up of the moveset and what to expect when fighting them both.

When it comes to fighting them both, you only need to kill one of them in order to win the fight. So, you can focus all of your fire on only one of the Twins when fighting both.

Chop Chop Chop

Kill Belyash with a melee weapon

MISSABLE

In order to earn this, you’re going to have to ONLY use a melee weapon during the fight. You cannot use any guns or elemental abilities.

atomic heart trophy achievement guide

So make sure to craft the best melee weapon that you can and upgrade it before the battle. An upgraded Zvezdochka will be your best bet here.

Luckily, the fight isn’t too difficult. Belyash mostly uses melee attacks that can easily be avoided by dashing backwards. Belyash will telegraph what attack is coming next leaving you with plenty of time to dodge.

Belyash will add a new attack when its health is about halfway depleted. It will shoot fire toward you for a few seconds. You avoid this by strafing left or right next to Belyash as the attack is going. You can use this time to get a few extra attacks in.

Also, do not forget to scan Belyash during the fight as it is needed for the “Scanner” Trophy/Achievement.

 Atomic Heart

Complete the game in Hardcore mode

At the time of launch, there is no “Hardcore mode” in Atomic Heart.

This Trophy/Achievement is earned by beating the game on “Armageddon” difficulty. It is available from the start. So this can be earned on your first playthrough if you’d like.

As usual, enemies are much stronger here and you’ll take a lot more damage on Armageddon. Enemies will use heavy attacks more often and will move quicker. You also won’t find as many resources. The combat can get very difficult when multiple enemies are on you, so you may want to take a more cautious and stealthy approach when dealing with enemies on Armageddon.

 Artisan

Create a weapon in a crafting machine

See the “Chemist” Trophy/Achievement below for more details.

Weapon Master

Create five types of weapons

See the “Chemist” Trophy/Achievement below for more details.

Lord of War

Collect all weapons

See the “Chemist” Trophy/Achievement below for more details.

Chemist

Craft consumables of all types

There are two things that go into getting all of the weapons and consumables. You will need to first find the schematics and then you will need to craft them at the NORA vending machines.

The crafting components are found by looting the environment and dead enemies. It is going to take a lot of components to craft everything, so make sure you are constantly searching and looting as much as you can.

The blueprint locations appear to differ based on the order you open the chests in. The majority of these are found in the red chests in the safe rooms.

If you need crafting components, you can actually dismantle your other weapons to get the crafting components back to use them again.

*After Patch* – If you played the game prior to when the Trophies/Achievements were fixed and your counter is stuck, store your weapons in storage and then transfer them back over to your inventory at a Nora machine. Doing so will pop the Trophy/Achievement. If it doesn’t pop with the weapons you have, craft the others you don’t have and then transfer them from storage to your inventory.

Weapons:

  • Swede
  • Shotgun
  • Fox
  • Electro
  • MP
  • Pashtet
  • Snowball
  • Kalash
  • Dominator
  • Zvezdochka
  • Fat Boy
  • Railgun

Consumables:

  • Small Neuromed Capsule
  • Medium Neuromed Capsule
  • Dynamo
  • Adrenaline Capsule
  • Large Neuromed Capsule
  • Electro

 Polymerization

Collect 100 jelly

This is something that will be earned over time. All you have to do here is loot enemy bodies and you’ll collect Neuropolymer. Just keep looting dead enemies and this will eventually pop.

 Apple Pie

Pick all apples in Limbo

MISSABLE

This is earned during the Limbo dream sequence. You will need to collect all of the apples in this section. You will need to get this done before completing this section or it will be missed.

atomic heart trophy achievement guide

The apples are not hard to find. They are not hidden like collectibles. They are out in the open along your path to the very end. You’ll need to do a  little bit of platforming in order to get them all, but there is nothing overly difficult or hidden here.

Check your tracker to make sure you have all 98 before exiting the level.

If you already collected these prior to the April 5th patch and didn’t get the Trophy/Achievement, you will need to start a new game and reach this section again and it will pop.

 The Great Inventor

Upgrade a weapon to the maximum level

Weapons can be upgraded at NORA vending machines under the “Upgrade” tab. Each of the weapons have a different number of attachments that you can equip to your weapons. Each of the attachments have four upgrades.

You’re going to need to have attachments equipped in every slot of a weapon. Then, you’ll need to upgrade all four levels of the equipped attachments.

Atomic heart trophy achievement guide

Attachments are upgraded by highlighting an attachment and press and hold  / .

You’ll need materials found by looting dead enemies and objects in the environment.

If you want to knock this out quickly, make a save and then upgrade the Swede. There are only four attachment slots. If you don’t have enough materials, disassemble everything in your inventory except for the Swede. Equip four attachments to the Swede and then upgrade each one to level four. When the Trophy/Achievement pops, reload your save to get your inventory back.

 Lefthand Mastery

Fully upgrade one skill tree

This can actually be earned by only upgrading a single branch of a tree opposed to the entire tree.

It is unclear if this is bugged in a positive way or if it is meant to be this way with bad wording.

In terms of upgrading a single branch, the cheapest one to fully upgrade is under Energy Management on the left side.

  • ATP Recycling – 82 Neuropolymer
  • Energy Density – 34 Neuropolymer
  • Greedy Guts – 146 Neuropolymer

You can make a save before upgrading so that you can reload after getting the Trophy/Achievement in order to get your Neuropolymer back.

 How Can I Help You?

Use a phone booth at Chelomey

MISSABLE

This can be earned at the very beginning of the game.

Get off of the boat and follow the objective markers until you come to an a white fountain. Your objective will change to, “Go around the crowd” here. Look to the left of the fountain to see the phone booth next to a balloon vendor.

Approach the phone booth and interact with it with / .

This will pop after hanging up the phone.

 Beast Friend

Find all talking dead animals

There are only three different dead animals to speak to. A cow, chicken and pig. They are all found in the open world after riding the train.

All you have to do is find the bodies of the animals and speak to them by pressing / on them.

Make sure to do all three of these in one sitting as the Trophy/Achievement tracking can bug out if you close the game. It is also possible for this to pop after only interacting with one of the animals. For me, it was the pig.

  • Cow

The cow is found to the southwest of Testing Ground 6 near the south side of the lake.

  • Pig

The pig is found in a small fenced in yard next to big stack of hay between Training Ground 2 and 10.

  • Chicken

The chicken is found next to a log building under a tree right before crossing the bridge to the east of Testing Ground 11.

 The Necromancer

Talk to every dead

MISSABLE

This is missable because the mission locations of Vavilov, VDNH, Theater and Pavlov are inaccessible once you complete them. You will need to collect everything in those areas before completing them.

There are dead bodies found throughout the game that you can interactive with to speak to them.

At the time of launch, this is currently glitched.

See the “Burning Ears” Trophy/Achievement below for collectible locations.

Burning Ears

Find all Chirpers

MISSABLE

This is missable because the mission locations of Vavilov, Forester Village, VDNH, Theater and Pavlov are inaccessible once you complete them. You will need to collect everything in those areas before completing them.

There are 72 Chirpers to find. These are small pocket watch looking audio logs.

The videos below will cover the following:

  • All Chirpers
  • All Talking Dead
  • All Talking Animals

 More Than Profit

Find all Lootyagins

See the “Clean-up” Trophy/Achievement below for more details.

 Explorer

Find a testing ground

See the “Clean-up” Trophy/Achievement below for more details.

Clean-up

Complete all testing grounds

Despite what they are numbered, there are eight testing grounds to complete and they will be marked on your map after completing the “Morning Express” questline.

Each testing ground will have three different puzzles that you need to complete. Completing each puzzle will reward you with a chest. These are the Lootygains needed for the “More Than Profit” Trophy/Achievement. There are three challenges to complete in the eight testing grounds which makes for 24 Lootygains to find. You will need to find the Lootygain before moving on to the next puzzle or challenge. They aren’t well hidden as the testing ground areas are fairly linear, but just make sure to check each room after completing a challenge. Beating the first puzzle will reward you with a bronze chest, the second will be silver and the third will be gold.

  • Testing Ground #1

Head to the Testing Ground 1 radius on your map and climb the short tower with the spiral staircase nearby. Interact with the camera terminal and unlock the door to the blue roof building nearby that looks like a safe room.

With the door unlocked, you can now enter the training ground.

  • Testing Ground #2

All you have to for this entrance is hack a camera and unlock the door to the blue roof entrance building. The camera control is found up a spiral staircase at the top of the platform near the training ground entrance. There is a red flag at the top of the platform.

  • Testing Ground #6

Head to the shoreline opposite of where Testing Ground 6 is located and ride the platform elevator up to the top floor and interact with the camera terminal. Hack the camera to the right of Testing Ground 6 along the shoreline and unlock the tunnel.

With the tunnel unlocked, go down the elevator and head for the tunnel that you just unlocked straight across the water.

  • Testing Ground #8

Travel to Testing Ground 8 and climb to the very top of the roof to find the camera control terminal. The story will actually take you to this location.

Use the terminal to hack three cameras. Look for the / prompts. You’ll need to interact with three of them across three different cameras. Pan the cameras around until the prompts pop up on screen. Do note that the camera at the top right will have two prompts. One for the HAWK control center and one for the training ground elevator.

Once you’ve interacted with all three, get off the roof and go inside of the building. Enter from the main entrance and go right to find an elevator with three green lights above it. Ride it down to the Testing Ground.

  • Testing Ground #9

In order to enter Testing Ground 9, you’re going to have to drop down an open manhole and into the sewers. The open manhole is right in front of a safe house to the southeast of Testing Ground 9, but just slightly north of HAWK 04.

Make your way through the sewers and you’ll eventually come to a room where you will need to guide the yellow candle balls through pipes and into four boilers to overload them.

Once that is done, exit the sewers by swimming through Polymer and head for the village where you jumped into the manhole. Look for a building near the statue with a yellow pipe and climb up to the roof. There is a crashed OWL drone on the roof. Once on the roof, interact with the terminal and a hack a camera and look at the statue to find the lock. Interact with the / prompt to unlock the entrance.

With that done, you can now head for the entrance which is right next to the statue.

  • Testing Ground #10

Head just north of Testing Ground 10 and look for a building made of logs with a red flag on it. Use the yellow pipe on the back of the building to climb up to the roof. Go into the room on the roof and interact with the terminal to hack the camera nearby.

Hack the camera near the pig pen to reveal an elevator in the pen that will take you down to the training ground. It is directly across from the building you climbed.

  • Testing Ground #11

First, you will need to get to the top of the control tower northwest from Testing Ground 11 and use the camera to unlock the door to the HAWK control room.

atomic heart trophy achievement guide

atomic heart trophy achievement guide

Then, go to the HAWK command room and interact with the console. Choose, “HAWK Maintenance.” Exit the command room and run to the HAWK that is now on the ground. Jump on to the yellow pole and wait for the HAWK to carry you back up into the air. Once in the air, press / to slide down the cable that leads to the roof of a red building with a tower on top.

Exit the building you land on and go to the small building near the gate. Pick the lock to enter. Once inside, look down on the ground to find a disc. Pick it up and exit this enclosed area.

You can head for the blue roof building that is the entrance to Training Ground 11 and unlock the door.

  • Testing Ground #12

You can enter Testing Ground 12 through a partially collapsed mine like entrance along the shore to the southeast of the Infirmary.

 Scanner

Scan all mobs

Mobs are the different enemy types in the game. There are 35 of them and you will need to scan each one in order to earn this.

  1. VOV-A6 Lab Tech
  2. VOV-A6 CH Lab Tech – Robots wearing black
  3. Dandelion Security Camera
  4. WSP-9 Pchela – Blue colored flying bots.

  35. Right Twin – Boss fight

 Avatar

Kill 10 burning enemies, 10 electrified enemies, and 10 frozen enemies

Total, you’re going to need 30 kills for this Trophy/Achievement.

The description states that you’re going to need to kill 10 enemies with each of the elemental hazards applied. However, it does not appear tom limit the kills to 10. My personal Trophy tracker has increased to 15/30 and I only killed electrified enemies in regards to this. So, it appears to be possible to do this with only one of the hazards at the moment.

The enemy needs to be killed while the elemental hazard is active on the enemy.

You can use the abilities or weapon mods to inflict the different elemental hazards.

 Hothead

Make 25 aimed headshots from Makarov pistol

In the game, the Makarov pistol is just called “MP.” It can be found by looting the red chests in the safe rooms. The blueprint locations appear to differ based on the order you open the chests in. As long as you’re opening the red chests in the safe rooms, you’ll get the MP.

All you have to do is aim with / and then shoot an enemy in the head to kill them.

Like everything else on this list, the tracking is very finnicky for this Trophy/Achievement. After killing an enemy, don’t release / right away. Hold it down for a second to let it register as an “aimed” headshot. Also, it may not track against certain enemy types. That appears to be random. So, check your counter after killing an enemy to see if it was counted. For me, it only registered kills against the Mutant enemy type.

 Below Zero

Freeze a Vova mid-air

Vovas are the human like robots with mustaches.

In order to earn this, you will need to have unlocked the Freeze ability from the NORA vending machines as well as the Absolute Zero upgrade under the Frostbite ability.

This will not count if you do not have Absolute Zero unlocked.

atomic heart trophy achievement guide

This one can be tricky to get because it is all about perfect timing. The Vovas have an attack where they will sprint toward you and attempt to jump and drop kick you.

The freezing ability takes a little bit to fully freeze an enemy so you need to really be on the timing here.

Back up away from the enemy to bait them into charging you with the drop kick attack. Start to freeze them as they are about to jump toward you and keep the ability on them as they jump and they should be frozen in mid air.

The window for this is either incredibly small or it is currently glitched.

 Assimilation Procedure Interrupted

Don’t let a sprout grow into a mutant

This can be earned during the Cryo section when you’re tasked with finding four cannisters.

You’ll be in a big room with a lot of plants. You’ll need to start the process of filling the cannister in the control room and then you’ll be ambushed by the small sprout enemy types. This is part of the story.

The sprouts will look for dead humans on the ground and turn them into the mutant enemy types. In order to earn this, you’re going to need to kill a sprout as it is in the process of changing a dead human into a mutant.

There are a lot of dead bodies in the room, so get near one and wait. Let the sprout interact with the dead body and then shoot it as the body starts moving.

If you don’t get this during the story, it can be earned in the open world section. There is a small town near Testing Ground 9 that has the Mother type enemies that spawn the sprouts.

 Bull’s Eye!

Use Telekinesis to throw an object and knock down an Owl

This can be earned in the Seed Bank.

The Owls are the flying drones that are carrying the packages up above in the room. You won’t be able to hit them from the ground floor.

Pick up a cardboard box and take it with you up the elevator. Exit the elevator and hit one two times with the box to knock down an Owl.

atomic heart trophy achievement guide

 Alcoholics Anonymous

Get drunk with vodka and kill 5 enemies

Alcohol can be found while looting chests, desks, crates, drawers and cabinets.

If your inventory is full, the vodka will be automatically sent to your storage. You can access your storage by interacting with the NORA vending machines in the safe rooms.

Once you have vodka, save your game. Find some enemies, drink the vodka and then kill them. If you didn’t get enough kills while drunk, you can reload your save and get the remaining amount of enemies. It does not have to be five kills in the same attempt.

 Triple Penetration

Kill 3 or more enemies with a single Railgun shot

First, you will need to find the Railgun or the blueprints. The blueprints appear to be found in different locations depending on the order you open the chests in. But a blueprint can be found in the VDNH Exhibition complex underneath the first room that you can rotate. There is a chest under there.

The next step will be to craft the Railgun. In order to do this, you’re going to need to use a Neuromodule. Neuromodules are a crafting item that are dropped by beating bosses. If you’ve already used that item to craft a weapon, you can dismantle it to get the Neuromodule back.

Once you have the railgun, find a group of at least three enemies. Back away from them and try to maneuver them so that they line up while chasing you. Once all three are lined up, fire a shot from the railgun through the enemies.

A good place to get this is the second room of Testing Ground 11. There will be a lot of Vova enemies in the room. As you enter, run through the entire room and get them all alerted to you. Then, get some distance from them and try to line up at least three. There is a save point outside of that room, so you can reload your save to try again if needed.

 Hands on the Hood

Hit 20 enemies by a car

In order to earn this, you’re going to have to hit 20 enemies while driving a car. You’ll get access to vehicles in the open world after completing the Vavilov section of the game.

The driveable cars in the open world are all red.

Get in a car and drive around running over enemies until this pops. You’ll need to use multiple cars for this as hitting enemies damages your car.
