Medali Gym
To start this one, we’re gonna fly to Porto Marinada.
It’ll be a little bit of a hike, but not too bad. From the fast travel point, head west through West Province (Area Two). We came through here earlier during Kofu’s quest.
Get on the path and follow it.
When you reach the fork, take the left path.
You likely beat this trainer when we came through here earlier.
Keep going straight and we’ll enter Colonnade Hollow.

- Noibat

- Murkrow
- Meditite

While inside the Hollow, go to the back side and climb up some ledges by jumping with Koraiden/Miraidon. You can reach a Gimmighoul, Dragon Pulse TM and a Black Stake which is needed for hunting down Legendary Pokemon later on in the game.
Across from the previous location is a trainer.
- Aurora the Student
- Cetoddle Lv. 23
Continue through the Hollow toward the exit and there will be one more trainer in here to take down.
- Mikel the Poke Maniac
- Charcadet Lv. 29

After that battle, you can exit the Hollow and cross the bridge ahead of you.

Beat the trainer and continue following the path. You’ll eventually come to another trainer just as the Pokemon Center is in sight.
- Coral the Student
- Dedenne Lv. 29
After beating Coral, go right into the grass and keep walking until you see another trainer out in the field.
- Sheila the Musician
- Pawmo Lv. 30
After that, turn around and head for the Pokemon Center. There are some food shops here, so do some shopping if you’d like. Head to the Gym when you’re ready.
Nemona will approach as you enter the Gym. She’ll want to battle you, but wants to tweak her party first. So in the meantime, speak to the person at the desk to do the Gym Test.
Medali Gym
The Gym test in Medali will require you to order secret menu items.
You’re going to need to acquire three clues that will help you to order the secret item. You get the clues by battling other participants. Your starting clue is to find out “how the regulars season their dishes.”
The first trainer can be found behind the Gym near some food carts.
Adara the Student
- Gumshoos Lv. 34
- Weak to Fighting
- Greedent Lv. 34
- Weak to Fighting
Beat Adara and then talk to her. Her clue will be, “the odd one out at one of the ice cream stands.” Go to the ice cream cart nearby. It is the one on the right where the three carts are.
You’ll see that the odd dish is the Grilled Rice Balls.
Next, head back to the Gym and go to the side of it to find the second trainer.
Gisela the Student
- Ursaring Lv. 34
- Weak to Fighting
Beat Gisela to learn her clue. Her clue is to look “for a dark spot surrounded by stairs.” This is to your right where the stairs are.
Go down the stairs and interact with the gate. You’ll see the words, “Fire Blast.
The final trainer can be found standing next to a Lechonk by two benches.
Santiago the Student
- Dunsparce Lv. 34
- Weak to Fighting
Speak to him after the battle to get his clue. His clue is to listen to “the blue bird Pokemon.” This is nearby to the right. Speak to the NPC with a Squakabilly on his head. The Squakabilly will say, “meedyum, meedyum”
With all that done, head over to the Treasure Eatery on the east side of Medali.
Go inside and speak to the NPC at the end of the bar to get the last clue, which is “Lemon.”
Now, go speak to the waiter in the green apron. The answers are:
- Grilled Rice Balls
- Medium Serving
- Extra Crispy, Fire Blast Style
- Lemon
Congratulations, you ordered the secret item.
Heal your Pokemon and speak to the waiter again when you’re ready to take on Larry.
Larry
- Komala Lv. 35
- Weak to Fighting
- Dudunsparce Lv. 35
- Weak to Fighting
- Staraptor Lv. 36
- Weak to Electric, Ice, Rock
Larry doesn’t pose that much of a challenge, so take him down and you’ll earn your fifth badge. You’ll be given TM025 Facade and Pokemon up to level 45 will obey you.
After the battle, you’ll speak with Geeta again. You’ll both be interrupted by Nemona, who will challenge you to a battle now.
Geeta will heal your Pokemon before the battle.
Nemona
- Lycanroc Lv. 36
- Weak to Fighting, Ground, Water, Grass, Steel
- Goomy Lv. 36
- Weak to Fairy, Dragon, Ice
- Pawmo Lv. 36
- Weak to Fairy, Pyschic, Ground
- Evolved Starter Lv. 37
Beat Nemona again and this step of the Victory Road questline will be completed when the post battle conversations are over. You’ll also receive TM171 Tera Blast from Geeta.

Great walkthrough, the only part i had a somewhat difficult time with is going vs gym leader Larry in the elite 4. I ended up defeating the majority of the elite 4 only to be defeated by Larry.
